Thank you for sharing the gifts God has given you. I'm almost 60 and prayer has been a struggle for a long time. This is such concrete teaching.

Writing it out also cements it in my mind and it starts popping back into my head all day(s). Then while I am puzzling over it sometimes a thought pops into my mind that sort of answers the ?. I then return to the scripture and frequently the "answer" fits:)

Thank you for the prompts! It's funny, I was looking up prompts for my writing but I never thought about it for my prayer journal. This is great! For me, I usually have no words for prayer when I am angry or a combo of angry and sad. And you always make sense. Praying your first couple days back at seminary went well for you and for God to give you strength and encouragement to get back into the swing of classes again.

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I know there are I times I feel so whiny when I try to talk to the Lord. I feel like I complain so much about the tough situations I'm dealing with, so I try to alternate how I come before Him. This is not something I do all the time, but I notice that my attitude changes when I bring praises to Him instead of complaints. I start small at times, but I thank Him for all He has given me and done for me. And then there are times I just pour it all out and cry my eyes out and then thank Him for allowing me to do so and ask Him to strengthen me and to just see Him in the trials. Some other prompts I've tried to implement were about my job - the people, the finances, the ones who are to come, etc. I will pray about church: the pastor, the deacons, teachers, children, congregation, etc. I also ask God to just tenderize my heart for things, people, situations that I am hardened against. I want to be a witness for Him, but I fail miserably when I am stubborn and unwilling to admit I am wrong. Whew! So much I need to pray about after typing this out. Haha. Also, your sweet boy was totally mesmerized by something and it was precious!

I love these! I often find myself doing one or two without having a list or anything but I just jotted these down at the front of my prayer journal for times when I don't know what to pray or need a starting point. They all make sense and are very helpful. Thank you for using this platform for His will and His purpose. You are reaching so many people, even if, like me, the people find your videos a year or more after you post them. Just getting the content out there is ao important!

You can make a junk journal with things you have, out of boxes (seapanda channel show it very well)or you can buy a small binder and decorated (jaren t show it very well)

If you remember in the middle of your prayer journal that you have to do something or to ask God for forgiveness jot it down dont do it in your mind because you can go back and look to that ❤

I love to write my prayers, but i wonder sometimes if I'm writing with an expectation or worry that some third party might come across my written prayers to God. Is that fear altering my candor? Am I journaling, not praying? Am I being vague when I should be precisely honest? Is this a prayer that I will reference later to help me grow or reflect on my journey? After writing out my prayer, do I read it aloud to God from my secluded war room? I suggest that one item we may want to add in our war room is a cross-cut shredder. When we write an intimate prayer meant just for God, be completely honest, put the sensitive details on a separate sheet of paper, read it silently, then after you've meditated enough, shred the prayer... Use the shredded prayers as garden mulch, or firestarters, or soak it to make new prayer paper.

One of the reasons prayers / prayer journals fail and become stale is because we make them too complicated. Forget about all the prompts and whatnot, use one-liner prayers! Just pray / write about what's popping into your head at the moment. It could be more than one thing and that's fine, but it doesn't have to be long or wordy because prayers are measured by weight and not by length. God bless!
