A single man thinks he has finally found a woman who loves him. The woman is charming and intelligent but holds a very dark secret which will truly test how strong their relationship can be.
I used to watch these movies in the 90's while recovering from endless hangovers on the weekends. Didn't know I had a problem at the time, but these movies comforted me during some pretty crappy times back then. Now I'm 20 years sober and these are still my favorite chill out movies, thanks Lifetime! ❤️
Its easy to become a slave to the rhythm of wine, women & song. That constant need to over push the boundaries of socialising whilst being well oiled. Some have the daily need to prop up the bar 24/7, that fake artificial environment, where your so-called friends disappear when the drinks "on you" no longer applies. Twenty years sober is admirable.
I'm only 37, but I have to say its sad good movies like this is not being created today. The 80s and 90s and beginning of the 2000s had real actors and real movies todays movies are just not like this anymore. But its awesome to know youtube has channels like this where I can sit up with popcorn and a soda and enjoy great movies all day. I cant tell you how many channels I have subscribed to and I just subscribed to this one. My youtube collection looks really good, better than watching regular tv, especially since I dont have to work anymore and Im a stay at home mom, thanks to your channel and others!!! 😁😊👍
"It's" sad, not "its". "Can't", not "cant". "I'm a stay-at-home mom", not "Im etc." You have eaten so much junk food, your ability to spell is dissolving. And if you are a mom at home during the day, what the hell is happening to your kids while you "sit around with popcorn and soda and enjoy great movies all day". Try being alive right now, not living vicariously (through someone else's ideas), but getting into the world (even if you must do it online), being curious intellectually. Sign up for an online course (many are free), learn, learn, learn and make both your life and the future lives of your child(ren) better. TV and RU-vid vids will not do this for you. You have only one life. Don't waste it.
@@judeirwin2222 Wth do you think you are? Get a life Instead of correcting this girls grammar and telling her how to be a mum, you sad pathetic person.
Thank you for sharing this. Tough it's not my usual choice of genre...it was a worthy watch. Jane Seymour plays her roles well...and this one fits her to a tee :)
Katie Grubbs kinda gave it away our serial killer was a victim of childhood abuse. Could be sexual, physical, or emotional abuse. Could be all of these types.
@@TrekJohnDoe The film strongly indicates that Linda was physically abused by her mother, and verbally also. Its also VERY strongly hinted her father sexually abused her. Then he abandoned her, and her mom blamed her for it. She also reveals that several of her mother's 'men' hurt her, yet her mother didn't believe her....
@@thomaspiccirillo2238 Yes! I remember when I learned that she had two different colored eyes. It startled me to learn that Jane doesn't always think she's that beautiful....that 'her eyes are two colors, her nose is too sharp, her lips are crooked'....HER words, not mine! :o Its amazing how so many women don't see their beauty, that true physical beauty is UNIQUE, not cookie-cutter.
The moments when she's stuffing the cake in her mouth while still pointing the butcher knife at them, pure AWESOME!!! Omg, that was craziness at its finest!! 😂😂😂
Betty seeing that TV show was the break they needed and she totally fumbled it. She couldn't have handled the situation worse! How hard is it to call the number "on your screen". Did she think she could take on someone w/5 dead men under her belt! Even a child could tell you not to confront a killer. Betty endangered both the men in her family.
I thought she did call the number? Didn't the FBI say to the neighbor regarding Betty "that must of been the one who called us". But yeah, she could have handled it better and she should of told him herself instead of asking his son to tell his father. Edit: oops, didn't realize this comment was 3 yrs old. Hope it makes it's way to you.
You' would think she would've called the number immediately. She didn't seem too bright from the start Edit: so I watched the rest of the movie and here comes the detectives all late, they really did turn in that tip late..... You would think for someone like this they would have turned the tip in right away
This lady is an awesome actress....She is amazing and makes the watching of the movie extremely important not to miss a second... Thanks so much for this movie
A classic!ove it! Unusual too! Usually these women are called black widows! I believe this is only movie of this genre to use the deadly praying. Preying mantis!♥️
An excellent upload. Fantastic storyline and great cast. Jane Seymour sizzles in her character as always. Watching and enjoying this flick from the Fiji Islands.
I couldn't figure out what was missing at first. Then at 38:07 it suddenly dawned on me - there are no cell phones in sight! Everybody's walking around looking straight ahead. 😃
Wilby7826, The good life , now on one looks up from their cell phone, I work with wi fi cell phone has Nokia 101 Keys, 15 years old enough for me , it can fall out of the window it works the battery Last 4 days👍 not with a smartphone 🇨🇵
@@cindyreinhart9552 Right on! I have an old laptop & a flip-top phone. Everyone rolls their eyes at it, but its what I can afford.....and WANT TO DEAL WITH right now! I resent the fact that society almost forces us to get new technology, whether we like it or not, just to function!
@@Christine16425how does that even still work? They made my mom upgrade from her bar phone to a touch cause the old ones wouldn't work with the new towers/services etc
I love this film for Jane Seymour... but also for the whole cast My favourite lines...in bookshop.... " those darned peasant girls"..."those darned tsars!" Plus all the rest!
Jane Seymour really has a unique way of playing female villains - she gives off such a nice and wholesome impression generally, so you don't really expect it of her. But she was awfully good as Kate Trask in the East of Eden miniseries, where she plays a character similarly depraved to this one, though without the hint of a reason such as childhood abuse.
Chad Allen, Jane Seymour’s would-be son-in-law in this movie, also played the role of sheriff Matthew Cooper with Jane Seymour in Dr Quinn Medicine Woman. Jane Seymour is a good actress who has been in a lot of very good movies. She plays these particular disturbing roles very well.
Yes, I don't like when movies end like that, specifically LMN movies, it's like you gotta make your own prediction in your head, that's what I do anyways
@@xbreezy9843 I do that too! :) Even though I really would have preferred an onscreen epilogue, I did kind of 'make one up' in my head. I imagine Don took a LONG time to emotionally-recover from Linda's evil. I imagine he never dated again, at least not seriously! Bobby might have had some PTSD, but I could see him deciding to go off to college or move out on his own.......but near his dad. :)
@@taracollins5597 I'm glad I'm not alone on this😅but yeah definitely you said it perfectly, yeah Bobby definitely went college I'd like to think and Don probably didn't remarry or date for a while, and I'm just now realizing that Betty is ex wife of Clint Eastwood!
Too many films with that title were already made, in the 1980s. :) I thought Praying Mantis was suitable, given the naughty insect's habit LOL. Truthfully though, even the Mantis seldom does this. Hilariously, its when she is 'stressed'.....by the male insect or humans! Ah nature!!!
Linda may be unstable but acted out as a Guardian Angel for kids @ 16:24. I love how she stood up to the woman smacking & calling the little girl "stupid"
@@karenhector7650One of the detectives implied Linda could had been sexually abused. Then Linda told the father's son she didn't like her father after she told her partner he reminded her of him. I guess Linda goes after men who remind her of her father.
That’s really how I know Jane Seymour as well. Such a brilliant movie! What a tearjerker! I’ve always wanted to visit Mackinac Island and visit the hotel there. Also the theme song is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I’ve ever heard.
Betty had good intentions, so far as caring for her nephew after her sister passed away. But she was wrooong as hell for low key trying to come on to her deceased sister’s husband. Wrong wrong wrong.
I think the dark page boy wig would have looked better if it had not been so extremely symmetrical. An off center part would have done the trick and would have looked much better.
The dad was trash lol He ignored every red flag, dismissed concerns from the closest people in his life, for selfish reasons and basically put everyone in danger. It’s funny how people are criticizing the Betty character, even though she right. She kept everything together for the guy, when his wife died, & then gets tossed aside. The son tried talking to the dad, who was also completely dismissed.
@@isitoveryet9525 I know what you mean. But it still was creepy in a way that Betty was obsessed with Don. From the moment she saw Linda she hated her.....even before they spoke. She had a crush on Don but never told him. You snooze, you lose.
Constant Reader If Neely O'Hara (Patty Duke) in the movie 🎥 Valley Of The Dolls get a hold of those wigs she'll try to flush them down the toilet (🚽) 🤣 February 27,2021
I'm suprised she is successfully baiting rich, intelligent and experienced men with her insecurity and the hastiness to tie the knot. I suppose in a real life her attitudes would scare them away.
But notice these are middle aged lonely men looking for love and in that state of mind one becomes desperate and looks past all of the red flags presented
After tons of "goodie goodie" roles ,Jane Seymour plays a psychotic man killer!Soo creepy too ,and not bad for the early 90s..Thanks a lot for uploading.
Try 'Dark Mirror' with Jane Seymour., She's not so goody goody in that one. She's great as a sicko. She shows her versatility in that movie. I watched it on youtube yesterday.
Rhonda White It`s on youtube too? Thanks so much for the tip.Have searched for it before ,but never found it.Will def take a look!Happy holidays ,and thanks again:)x
:) Found it thanks.Shame the sound isn`t that greatn, but they did well to find those old movies.Nothing`s more annoying that a poster whp`ll advertise a film ,then tell you to click on a link!! happy holidays:)x
Great Flick.. I love Garry Bosworth, he is one of those great old forgotten actors. Try watching him in "Death by Natural Causes". He was a lot younger and can be missed unless you're looking for him.
I mean, the Betty lady reported it to the number given on the broadcast she was watching & waited until she had substantial proof, instead of just suspicions.
You are a lifetime fan, and so am I lol😊👍 I see you have the same comment on the movie her best friend husband, this is a good movie and so is her best friend husband too!
Seriously, the movie was damn good, th role Linda played was amazing and great 👍 👌👌👌 keep uploading this type of movies, I, think this is the best movies, ever I've seen it on RU-vid Coz, on RU-vid they don't upload this type of movies, but this time the movie was just Wow. 👌👌👌
