Given the ratio differences between jp and en in the past, I wouldn't be too shocked if we get 2 manga per case (2x jp ratio). Reprint is ok but I don't think you can compare a restock to a new set in terms of supply coming onto the market. A new set will always have more people opening compared to a restock. I personally expect all op05 and newer manga to drop a lot. Luffy has a good chance to bounce back but I don't see it for the other ones. Personally I don't really mind these news. Definitely interesting.
@yusei1996 in theory manga pull rates here are worse than a restock if they're seeded 1 every 10 and don't double up. So best case it lightly dilutes each supply even at 1 per case assuming it's in US again asia is wiiiildly different in products
I know they added the protection on set 5 and on with the star, but isn't the protection marker for the current op05 set above the color life shape. Not to the right of it, like it shows in the video. Would that be a way to tell them apart? Because my luffy's mark is above the shape, not to the right of it.
I don't know how to post a picture here 😅 but now I'm worried, but I did pull it from a sealed box from my local card shop, so I hope it's not at fake 😅
@@MiguelHernandez-xu5gp should be legit. Might be the restocks have new placement. I don't actually own a manga post op05 but I have seen one on the side of a luffy in English
it's different for each of the current cards that I have for example, the luffy manga one piece card stamp is on the top not right. Same with Boa. But with Law and zoro, it's on the right
if the prices go down because of reprints of boxes, make sense, but you have to understand that the prb mangas have PRB-01 stamp on them except nami manga, they will be a cheaper manga version. It is like an SP card, one case 1 SP (in this case PRB stamped mangas). Players do actually want to use manga cards to play/flex, so this does provide the solution. So if you are actually sellling your mangas because of PRB stamped mangas coming out, thats like selling first edition charizard when they have reprinted so many versions of it. Please stop spreading false information.
Everyone freaking out. As we currently know.. Sets 1-4 mangas can be differentiated because the original four didn't have the stamps and stars. So far we haven't seen comparison photos for later sets to see if Bandai has or not made the new cards marked in some way. If the speculation of a manga per case.. And they have made mangas from set 5 and onwards identical then essentially every 10 cases will add 1 extra manga to the supply of that specific sets manga count. So that's better than like 1 manga every 2/3 cases added to the total of that specific mangas total amount in circ if they continue to reprint sets 1-5. Hopefully this set makes reprinting those sets unnecessary which means in the long run, this is a better outcome
I agree in making products more available, however, it doesn't make pulling a manga card special anymore when you know you can always pull a manga in the upcoming PRB set. It devalues the set - essentially no real special meaning of any manga pulls from here on out for i.e. op0x when there will be a carbon copy of the card waiting to be reprinted in an upcoming set (this is in regards to op05+)
@@vietclick-kg5kh I fully agree with reprinting passed cards as it adds longevity to the game, also allowing new players to jump right in, but reprinting Manga's is a huge L for the game especially when Manga's are a strongest selling point for the hype of each set
Agreed. I mostly play but for a healthy game you need a healthy secondary market. Without that boxes drop to lower than msrp and then stores stop stocking then game dies. Fusion world already 50 a box with msrp of 4.49 a pack? How are just the stores going to make money with that
I am a huge fan of the one piece manga and anime, so I would collect it regardless, but I do hate the fact that they reprinted the manga rares. Well it'd be okey if there was a difference from the original. I do not have access to a lot of boxes. It's usually store policy to cap at 3 boxes per person, so I felt incredibly lucky to pull manga Luffy from the two I got. It doesn't feel that special anymore, which is a little sad. I won't be able to get ahold of many boxes much less cases in my country even if I was rich. (well I had money to spend on 2 boxes, so I can't complain) I don't mind if the sets get reprinted, but I'm not a fan of it all being contained in one set. I don't really know how I'll really feel until it actually comes out, so we'll see. It's just my first impressions right now to these news. In the end it'll depend on how the english boxes are. I love that there are a bunch of cool cards in the set, but I'd rather have 3 new manga rares in this set over having all previous once, if that is indeed the case.
@@vamptcg i will admit i am purely primarily a collector (dont play the game at all but love the anme series). and i definitely agree with u that this set still hold potential especially when 1 of the manga could be nami. plus i love the fact that i can now also collect the mangas at a more affordable budget albeit reprinted ones
@Mr.MarioFire so manga is guaranteed so it's not as worth to do this bc it could still be booty. But like all boxes are mapped this is why you shouldn't buy single packs online bc tou could buy infinity no hits. If guaranteed mamga it's better to buy from your lgs
Mangas are not in the same spot per case, in 05 there was evidence of a lot of cases having mangas on bottom row but that’s it. Mangas is certain spot in case is misinformation
@@mossshead I bought literally 2 boxes online of op05 and pulled manga puffy, if they were mapped like most still believe, then almost every distributor would be gobbling them up, but for the fact I got one it goes to show mapping is not always a guarantee.. I believe it was for some earlier sets tho unfortunately
Only financially irresponsible people or people who actually don't have some of the cards in this set to play will be buying selead product. 130 on a box for 20 dollars in value of cards a player already has for a chance at a manga that is going to tank in value is such a bad decision. A case will be what 1200ish? And you get 1 manga where only maybe 2 out of the ten will be worth more than the case? Just waste of money in my opinion. Buy the manga you want
Bottom of the line is that mangas will drop in price with this set releasing along with reprints. As a collector who has been waiting to buy manga Luffy that makes me very happy :)
Pre ordered 2 cases looking for the nami manga. Pre ordered 3 more after finding out i had a higher chance pulling not nami than id have pulling nami. I dont care about reprinting mangas. I just wish it coulda waited til after i got my nami.
Rates are always doubled for US. I wouldnt be shocked if we get 2x Manga per case. The likelihood of that happening is really high as the precedent (2x the hits of a jp case) has been there since day 1.
@@vamptcg its double. Reg boxes for PRB are 10 packs w 10 cards per pack. Ours will be 20 packs with 10 cards per pack. Both cases include 12 boxes. While the concept of 2 manga per case is absurd (i agree with you) it isnt outside the realm of possibility as there is precedent for it via every other prior OPTCG release.
Manga cards should be exclusive to their sets… and why are people thinking that collectors are not essential for a TCG? lol manga cards are suppose to be a chase, now PRB01 ruins that, no point buying op01-06 for the manga now And the fact is you don’t need manga cards to enjoy the game lol
I think it really shows how much value we put into them, and bandai wants us to see something. Now we wait to find out about about pulls in the English TCG and it'll be november 😭
@@vamptcg maybe the wanna shift the focus to look at alt arts and not only the manga to be the chase? In any case, a guaranteed manga kills the chase, cards like Oda luffy is the real deal now
Am i understanding this right? They are adding 60 alts, 30 don, amd 10 manga rares all in 1 box?? I really dont trust bandai to exclude the new special don as a hit in any given booster box. Feels like if you see that don your not getting much else in that box 😫
@@vamptcg For those who bought Manga Rare from OP5 and OP6 it's actually a disaster. Luckily they didn't reprint Oda signed Luffy. But in the next few years, unless there are further reprints, everything will return to the starting point.
If only they differentiated the mangas … new arts would have been cool but this is just lazy. Why buy future sets? You immediately devalue future boxes. People that play will just buy singles. Wait to hit big chases in another PRB
@@vamptcg but it isn’t guaranteed 1 per case now sure you make a good point but based on msrp you’re capping at mangas at 549 for Japan. Who’s also to say since cases are mapped that stores won’t just map out where the box where the manga hit is at and sell folks duds for a premium. Now ratios still matter but getting a manga every 3 cases before justified the price. Who’s gonna buy boxes when mangas will be cheaper than the price of a case also if you buy to play is fine but just buy singles. Tbh it’s a mess but ofc cheaper mangas is still cool
YOUR TELLING ME THE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF CASES IM HOARDING IN MY BASEMENT ARE ABOUT TO DROP IN VALUE? I JUST LOST MY HOUSE AND FAMILY THANKS BANDAI
But manga cards led the value of the singles market. Crushing manga prices will make all singles worth less. They just fucked all of us. But mainly collectors which they also fucked by power creeping rewards for players. Promos a lazy way of increasing player base. Thats twice collectors got fucked. Taking all my money to pokemon. That doesn't have to incentive me to play there game cause there game is not leader locked and therefore not rock papper sizzors of top leaders.
Watch the video then come back to me. Also note this game was a players game and bandai double down on that isn't the worst. Many came in with OP05 and things got crazy
@@vamptcg I hear that no worries i still have a 20k scalp I never trusted Bandai. And I was correct. I didnt buy there stupid mangas and now they will drop one on my lap. No i targeted what is essential to players and collectors. OP 09 should pay me big. I walk away then. Not another dime. All the value for collectors long term is already out. We no longer need to participate anyway. We can make lots of money on one piece money catalysis with what we have. Participating further is not needed by us in one piece like it kinda is in pokemon. A true collectors haven. One piece catalyst are anime ending and oda eventually dying. We have access to these first versions of cards. We no longer need to partcipate and I know I wont. I have all the value and all the rest of the value is fake or wont surpass what i have or not by much.
I say all that to say your right. Its not a collectors game AT ALL. And you would be foolish to collect new stuff when its value wont surpass the old. And the old is cheap. Its a game for players for sure. And ppl who are collecting cause they love the anime. Its not for investors and people who want to make a buck. But even collectors do not need to go further or focus on anything other than luffys. If your collecting cause you want to flip it. Do pokemon. One piece giving out mad promos and making your life hard. And the value prop is far away. Just buy oda luffys and gear 5 to sell at eventual catalys there is no other money to be had.
@theblackinvestor3990 opportunity for making money comes from understanding the meta and playability. Majority thing Disney has too with their enchanted mostly deriving value out of playability vs iconicmess woth x exceptions. As a competitive player I just pick up cards I know will be good and mention in my videos amd they're usually right then I just trade them in for cards from the next set. I usually buy most my decks with store credit at this point from the exchanges. Collectibility is a 5 year game in this minimum imo. People expect rhings to be pokemon in 1 year when pokemon has been around for 20
@@vamptcg Honestly manga luffys will rise again after this. But they should call this the last. Because after collectors get there cards we really wont need another thing. I cant imagine anything being worth more than your manga luffy when you get 1 for what sogeking costs now so with that you can safely focus back on things that your not waiting to establish themselves. You have the full value add basically. I should be happy lmao.
Good riddance to Investors and flippers tbh, but at the same time, I don't get the panic, even if it's 1 per case, it's not one of the same card per case, it's 1 out of 10 mangas per case, so per card it's actually a 1 in 10 case shot at a specific manga... Which is a big difference market wise.
@@zacsalazar6178 Mangas from OP05, 06 and EB01 are identical. Impossible to spot the difference. Mangas from 01-04 have updated stamp and star so only those.
They Mangas are so over priced tho it's not even gonna effect them alot you gotta compare this more to like pokemon base set then they did a base set 2 they need to actually get cards in players hands there's so many pack channels just for one piece who have never pulled a manga you actually want more people to have these and bring people in plus they are different from the OG ones so they will still be the 1st printing and worth more
@@vamptcg Let me rephrase... Bandai killed this game much like they killed Dragon Ball. Both amazing franchises that never had a real chance under such a mediocre company.
@DZetti_Collection as an OG DBS player and collector. I think they learned their lesson after having to fusion world amd wall of text. Digimon is also loved by many but they just power creep the meta every set and you have to buy New ones. I think OP will be fine. Appreciate you taking the time to watch
@@vamptcg FW is terrible and the fact they need a banlist after 2 sets is horrendous. And yes, I know about WB in OP02 so you'd think they could learn but they don't seem to care.
