This is such a great approach. I replicated this well by creating a canvas the same size as my target image in photoshop and as you did built up a gradient, airbrush spotlight and a noise layer. Playing with the denoise level can produce really dramatic effects.

Your tutorials are always very helpful and it always fun to listen to your explanations and to watch your nodes path what you've developed. Can u develop a Magnific analog? There is some videos about that based on Supir, but really interesting to see ur way.
