Today we’re discussing the Zenith Elite 6150, 42 mm stainless steel, 100-hour power reserve luxury watch.
This watch was released at Baselworld 2015. This is an Elite in an altogether revamped technical package that brings new capability and a new watch.
This watch is part of the curious class of the 40 mm plus formal watches. It is 42 mm - very traditional in its proportions and detailing but has a more provocative bend to it. It is more than just another entry in the ultra-thin automatic dress ranks. It’s 51 mm from lug to lug but wonderfully slim - under 10 mm thick. The watch slides easily under a formal cuff.
The strap is a wonderfully slim and durable Zenith black monotone-stitch, folded side, alligator leather. It is paired with an upscale double deployant trigger actuated clasp for extra measure of security.
The watch is basic, conservative, and traditional, but not austere and not de-contented. It features applied hour indices - alternating single and double indices, proving the designers gave careful consideration to everything.
The Elite is quite the deluxe timepiece with superior 50 ATM, twin mainspring barrels, a 4 day plus power reserve, and 4 Hz beat rate.
