Up until now Kirby has actually had a shockingly good record against high level Pikachu. It’s just ShinyMark is on another level that we haven’t really seen since peak ESAM. Also while the MU is disadvantaged, I do feel a lot of this was just ShinyMark playing a lot better too as well as Guilheww making some iffy calls. For instance ShinyMark got away with holding shield and I was surprised to see know Inhale attempts. Thunder Jolt historically has been a good power to take even out neutral and it would it be a good callout to this new under the stage strat we see ShinyMark pioneering but Guilheww didn’t try it once which surprised me. He also kinda found himself preemptively putting out hitboxes which ShinyMark was patient enough to capitalize on. Beyond that I feel there were better calls to make on recovery. ShinyMark never managed to punish Kirby’s DAD hard but despite that Guilheww went for a lot questionable Final Cutters which Shiny clearly is familiar with punishing and it basically led to him losing his last stock in both games. There’s more I could say but the gist is a lot of this just came ShinyMark just playing masterfully.
