Anybody criticizing pastors for meeting and preaching the gospel ought to ask themselves this question: Even if covid was a terrible plague killing everyone that caught it, woud that not make hearing the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ more urgent than ever? I commend the boldness of this man.
Do it We've been having to drive 2 hrs to attend a solid church. We have to meet in secret locations now as they stole our building, worth it. He is worthy.
We have driven 3 hours (one way) during this pandemic to attend a church that has remained faithful by maintaining in-person, corporate worship throughout the BC restrictions. Thankfully, my home church has decided to worship again but with outdoor services.

I wonder what terrible lessons he is referring to. Does dying from a plague that is completely avoidable by social distancing and wearing a mask count? This dude cares about getting famous more than protecting the health and well-being of his congregation- an absolute disgrace. Something tells me Jesus would be volunteering in a hospital, or providing food for those who are suffering. Instead, Jacob is an opportunist who is using COVID to increase his own interests.
You're so funny. As someone once said, 'condemnation before investigation is the height of human ignorance'. Let's see, this man's been kicked out of his church, fined more times than you can count, faces possible jail time and has made himself the target of jeerers, critics and is racking up public enemies because... wait for it... he wants to promote his own interests. If he wanted to promote his own interests, he wouldn't be preaching the gospel on the street. Preaching the gospel would be God's interest, not his lol. What a foolish world in desperate need of wisdom from above. "He who answers a matter before he hears it, it is folly and shame to him." (Proverbs 18:13)
Brandon, May be better for you not to make your point by comparing this man's actions to Jesus'. Actually, Jesus touched a man with leprosy, which was certainly not social distancing from a contagious disease. You won't understand someone's actions in being by led by the Spirit if you don't believe in that way yourself. Personally, I do follow social distancing, but I believe in being led first by what God wants me to do in every situation.
You think Covid is a "plague" ? See thats the biggest thing wrong with whats going on here. Its a virus, no different than the flu - and actually thinking of a real plague, like the Black Plague in Europe, who do you think it was that braved it all to minister to the sick when everyone else was too afraid? The Christians. Its a laughable joke that people feel churches need to be shut down for Covid. The real virus is government control - and it looks like its got you good, sir. Will pray for your eyes to be opened in Jesus' Name.

For instance, you could have asked whether I am familiar with him, his church, or his teachings before assuming I haven't because I'm critical of him. I'm critical of him for exactly the reasons you listed, not despite of them. It's quite naive to say that a pastor is essentially immune from seeking out their own interests under the guise of spiritual practice. I assume you are familiar with televangelists? Social media notoriety is the replacement for that, and videos like these are the perfect example. Jacob is using his position as a spiritual leader to instruct his congregation and anyone else who will listen, not on spiritual matters here, but on social and health issues which he clearly does not grasp. This is dangerous, but also an abuse of his position of power. Mat 6: 5 And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.
