My son Elijah Nicholas Pascal was born at 36 weeks due to tachycardia discovered at a routine OB appointment. I was rushed to the hospital for an emergency C-section so to save him in his distress with a heart rate of 215 bpm. They rushed him over to Children’s Hospital, where the pediatric cardiologists attempted to lower his a fib, but to no avail. He wound up having a hemorrhage in his brain and died in my arms, two days after birth. He was baptized, confirmed and consecrated to the Blessed Mother before he died.
