I appreciate the kind words my bro! unfortunately what most people don't think of is all the boxes I have to keep track of, the bigger the product the larger the box and I only have so much garage space :)
I just saw your review, and I must say was very enjoyable and direct. I own the 1723THX tower and center channel and I use the 1961 tower as the surround and back surrounds. I do use 4 REL reference subs anyways.
Great review as always, brother! They do have a nice neutral sound that I enjoyed. I have a mixed system & listen to music 50%. Ended up going with the Paradigm Premier 800F towers. They're also a nice neutral sound but a wider sound stage. Also grabbed the PP 200B bookshelfs for side surrounds. I've never gotten around to listening to them on their own, though.
really? I felt their price changes were minimal at least for the products I've reviewed, +$100 on the 1961 1S sub (11% increase), +$100 on the matte version of the 1723 1S sub (7% increase) but the gloss is the same price its always been, 1961 bookshelf is also the same price its always been. A significant price increase is what Focal has done, the Kanta No1 that was $6k is now $8k!! A whopping 30% increase!
Hello. Wonderful review as always. In all your (subwoofer) pairings, which subwoofer integrated better, and with the best bass? Also, I think it's a good idea to review more floorstanding speakers. Thank you.
@@NemoPropaganda Thanks for the response👍. One more thing, and I apologise if it'll upset you.. But I'm trying choose between Rythmik fvx12 (ported) vs the JL audio d110 (sealed). Although they're world's apart, but close in price and also highly praised and recommended by you. I want to settle on one for hometheatre and music. My question to you is, which one can best serve those two purposes? I’ve made a few purchases largely depending on your reviews of the products. Sorry for the 'unrelated' question, but thanks a million.
@@edwarddiogu6377 funny you should say that, I was originally going to say the FVX12 also but since its size is fairly large I thought someone looking for a compact tower would not be interested in a larger sub. The FVX12 was my 2021 product of the year, it is a true hidden gem in the subwoofer world and ranks at the highest tier of subwoofer performance in my book for music or movies. If you have the space FVX12 is outstanding. The D110 is good for those who need a more compact solution that doesn't sacrifice too much output. Cool thing is now FVX12 is also available in gloss black :D def go for FVX12 if its a viable option for your space.
I am currently testing 1961 bookshelf paired with one 1961 1V. Quite impressive...both bookshelf and sub. I was debating Rel or Rythmik but decided to give the 1961 1V a try. I don't think I need try other subs :)
I Just Subscribe To U Fam. I Wish U Would Do More Of Tower Speakers Please! I'm Trying To See ( Cause All I Ever Had Was Klipsch 8060FA Tower Speakers N Center Channels 504c Ect.Ect ) Rather Kefs R11 Meta Speakers Or Arendal 1723's???
theres literally hundreds of options but most of them weigh 300lbs each and cost well over $20k, if you're looking for large scale and full range 20-20 sound on a budget indeed that would be the tekton double impacts.
I'm not a fan of towers that are light on bass and 50hz ain't that deep. I'd save the cash and grab the bookshelfs and pair them with a sub since you're going to need a sub anyways.
