This is a quick and dirty tip about how to install the Tethrd Predator Platform. Installing the Predator platform takes about 30 seconds and it's rock solid. You don't have to do anything crazy to make it work.

Got mine last week. Tried it out yesterday and I’m in love. I’ve tried all the others and the Predator is hands down the best option out there for comfort in the saddle. No other way to hunt for me.

I was sitting here taking a short break before I went out to fit my saddle and mount my Predator for the very first time. Great timing with this video! This is exactly what I needed to see before I stepped in front of the tree. My Senior body doesn’t need to be falling any distance and hitting anything. 🤭 Thanks.

I like the gear tie. You could probably use the gear tie to tie your thermacell on top of the platform after it's set.

after trying other methods to install the predator I have gone back to this method...definitely the fastest and easiest method...locks it rock solid...the weight of the buckle is worth the speed and ease of install it affords you...I will find another spot to lose some ounces to carry...this thing is such a game changer in the hunting world...like G-man says...dint make this anymore complicated than it is...PEACE!

great idea with the gear tie....holding my saddle platform in place while trying to get the strap around and connected has been an annoyance. Solved! Thanks! Only thing Id add is to tether up before you start messing with the platform. Why not? seems safer

You could, but it might get in the way. When I'm tying in my platform, I'm connected with my lineman belt and I'm standing with both feet on my climbing method. It's pretty stable.

Hey what part of Florida are you from? I'm in Pinellas county and have a lease in cross city and a cabin/house right in the middle of the Apalachicola State Forest WMA. I'm just getting into saddle hunting came across your videos and noticed you were from Florida.

What if you mess up while climbing up, how can you be safe from falling. I know in a climber I wear a harness that attaches to a tether that tightens to the tree. Climb up, loosen tether, mover up, tighten back down, safe if I slip or equipment fails etc. So I'm wondering if there's a safety method with a saddle.

You can do the same thing with the Saddle. Use a tether and a lineman belt.

Wanting to buy a Predator. I noticed when you went to cam over the platform, the platform was not completely parallel to the ground. Could you lift the post up just a little bit and recam it over again so it’s more parallel to the ground? Also wanted to compliment you on all the great informative videos your putting out there. As a newbie saddle hunter, I need all the instructional videos there are! Thank you.
