Since 2016, the Next Generation Ecosystem Experiments (NGEE) have collected environmental data from Nome to Utqiagvik to better predict changes to the Arctic. Experiments included snow measurements along the Teller Highway as well as carbon dioxide and methane measurements near Council (Mile 71). Colleen and her team provide their results and next steps and hear regional research ideas from attendees.
Colleen Iversen is an Ecosystem Ecologist and Director of the NGEE Arctic project at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
