Love to see how these sportscasters always pick the wrong winner. I have no idea who will win. I would just like to see someone new on the podium lifting the trophy. May the best man win 💪🏾
Any prediction involving Djokovic being Mr Grand Slam forgot he lost in the SF of the Australian Open when his motivation was the greatest (going for 25th AO at an event he dominated). It is the most open French Open in years as players are going in with poor form or under injuries cloud. Love the prediction that Sabalenka will ultimately prevail against Iga. If we follow that logic then IGa would not make the final as Gauff must be due for a win against Iga. Perhaps form does matter in the some of the matchup. The probability of a Swiatek/ Sabalenka match up depends on how they hold up having played 4 full weeks of tennis especially against Rybakina who rested by withdrawing from Rome. I think Rybakina should be a slight favourite given she still holds a good H2H against Swiatek and Sabalenka in the last 18 months.
@@davidbosquette4798 i hope it is elena but she needs to remain healthy! iga & aryna are both stronger physically than her & appear to be healthier! i'd like djokovic to win just to prove his doubters wrong but i think he has his eyes on the olympics! other than that, zverev deserves a grand slam title!! all the best!! just my opinion!!
@@normankennith7919 Ah nice observations. I think on Clay Iga is female Rafa these days and I love how talent not big serve or power is keeping her at the very top. I suspect she will retain her title with ease. Carlos is my pick for the guys now Rafa is out. The clay court mantra may pass on to the next Spanish prince.
@@davidbosquette4798 it's all about opinions!! what is fact is that elena is 4-3 up in head to heads with iga & she beat iga in the stuttgart open this year, while last year at the french open, elena quit the competition after winning her first 2 matches! providing iga doesn't have to play elena in the final, she will be a warm favourite to retain her title! i would like djokovic to win but i'm not sure he will but zverev will be a danger! all the best!!!
As a Polish, I would say Iga but my intuition is telling me that she is not going to win this RG. On the men's side, I hope Zverev gets to the final if not him I will be cheering for Tsitsipas, Ruud and Medvedev.
Martina, you can’t pick someone if they do something if he gets through or if he’s healthy I mean you have to pick up or you don’t pick them that’s what the rule is
Iga took away Indianwells and Rome title from Rybakina…Rybakina took stuttgart title from Iga…so hopefully she can make it 2-2 by winning RG…Go Elena go💪
@@jukkao.parviainen8669 Elena doesnt like attention...now all are talking abt Iga and Saba finals...so Elena will perform well this time.. Wait and see
@@rafmech Sorry, too inconsistent, she should change to the professional coaching staff, where everyone has their own roles, she can leave Vukov to the box to some advisory role. I predict she drops earlier than in the match against Saba, or some injury makes her withdraw. She should work on the overall athleticism that the muscles would support her bones.
@@rafmech I will wait and see, I doubt Elena will make it even to the match against Aryna, she looks utterly tired, maybe because Vukov drains all energy out of her.
Ruud is always so disrespected. First they say I think we will have Alcarez - Djokovich which we hoped last year (disrespectful against Ruud who played the final last year) and then no one mentions Ruud even if he has been in 2 RG grand slams in a row…
I completely disagree on the men’s side. My feeling says Nadal wins his 15th title against Alcaraz in the final if he manages to get past Zverev. I don’t see Djokovic in the semis either. He is in bad shape, sth. is wrong with him.
This is the most even and unpredictable semi finals I think I’ve ever seen I’m going to rule out Ruud as a title contender even if he beats zverev which leaves Zverev, Alcaraz and Sinner as the top contenders for the title Let’s break it down! Alcaraz and Sinner have met 8 times with each winning 2 matches in a row. Alcaraz won the last match which would suggest he’ll win this match to make it 2 in a row but Sinner won the only match they’ve played on clay! If Zverev plays Alcaraz in the finals, he leads 5-4 in the H2H. They have played 3 times on clay with Carlos winning 2 of those but both were in Madrid at altitude and Zverev beat Alcaraz 2 years ago at RG! Edge to Zverev Zverev leads Sinner 4-1 in the H2H with Sinners lone win on clay but that was in 2020. How relevant is that? Edge to Zverev but Sunners movement and power this fortnight is impressive
Gotta go with Casper Ruud... Djokvoic's form is questionable Alcaraz and Sinner's fitness is a big question mark too and they haven't played much for the clay season. That really leaves you Ruud, Zverev and Medvedev as possible title contenders. And When I look at the draw and also put their past clay court performances into consideration, I just think maybe this is Ruud's golden chance. (and he thoroughly deserves it as he is such a great clay court player that he was just unlucky to face either Nadal or Djokovic in his past RG finals)
No, he has not, but Alcaraz won the US Open 2022 without making a strong showing in the previous Masters tournaments on hard courts. He also entered Wimbledon 2023 and won it without having significant experience on grass. I say this as I am a Novak fan. Alcaraz is the player of the new generation who most has the mentality of a champion. Sinner has it as well, but I do not think that his physical condition after his recent injury will help him start with his full strength, as he did in Australia and Miami
Great point! I didn’t realise Alcatraz had this history of coming in to slams and winning them without having strong results in the lead-up tournaments. Let’s see! But I think we’ll have a first time slam champ: Zverev, Taitsipas or Ruud
@@samuelmagrath2541 Yes, I don't think the French open title will belong to anyone other than one of these players: Zverev, Tsitsipas, Ruud or Alcaraz. The most determined, patient and mentally strong is the one who will snatch the title
If Rafael did not believe that he could win Roland Garros, he wouldn't be playing the tournament. I believe that Nadal can beat Zverev on Monday. And if he does, watch out 🙂
Get Wertheim off your panel and channel. He has spread continuous mis-information and lies about Halep’s trial in which she was found GUILTY, never exonerated. It’s embarrassing and the opposite of unbiased journalism.
😂 xactly. I already have information from one of the sources that he is already juicing up for cardio and taking pain numbing injections to practice with his sleeping leg (as raf a himself mentioned in 2022)
