Thank you for this. My bf has been taking it for cardiac sarcoidois and he has sudden outburts of verbal abuse, anger and lack of empathy. He has had outbursts 3 times this month and he has been taking it for one and a half months. He is currently walking out side the house at 10pm at night cooling off. He gets outbursts even just doing a bit of diy. It is like living with a sociopath. I have had to pack my bags down stairs just in case I need to take the first train out. He didnt telll me that he was going out and I dont know what he is doing. He usually just walks off his anger and tells me but tonight he could not bring himself to tell me what he is doing. it is quite unnerving uk
You should make it clear that these symptoms usually only occur with EXTENDED use of prednisone, NOT the short term use for occasional 6-5-4-3-2-1 (pills/day) and done for an acute diagnosis, eg. "Sciatica".
Some of the side effects are with long term, but many can happen even after a single dose. For example, insomnia can happen after one pill. Check out my other videos on short term and long term side effects.
I through out my methylprednisolone and yelled at my doctor told him why he try and kill me. This is not for the 6-5-4-3-2-1 😂 She's crazy she just wants people to be scared so they buy her 100 dollar vitamins! 😂
This is some nasty $hit. I made it halfway through a dose pack for my chronic planter fasciitis and I was so sick I thought about trying to drive myself to emergency. It took four days to recover.
Great photo! I looked exactly the same except I had a thinning Afro puff! 😂 Still suffering with withdrawal symptoms but they are slowly calming down. 🙏🏾
Given the plethora of side effects you’ve listed and how severe some are would it be worth considering the risk of NOT taking prednisone for Giant Cell Arteritis. How likely is blindness to occur? Other risks? Thanks in advance.
20 mg of predisone for 6 months. Two years to get it down to 1 mg. Just one mg drop would course body pains depression and fatigue for weeks. Then i would wait a month and do it all again. Just wiped 2 years of my life. The worst part I should never have been on them in the first place. Cant wait to get this out of my system.
@@PrednisonePharmacist Thanks for the reply. I don't know if this is of any use to you but I started to take a couple of teaspoons of organic coconut oil a day. This really helped with my mental health when I was going through the symptoms of withdrawal. It also reduced the time it took to bounce back to normal. Your utube video was also great in explaining what I have been going through. Thank you
Hi Doc, thank you for all your videos . I am Erythema Nodusom case, prednisone 20mg a day with almost 2years taking this. Can I ask if I am okay for walking exercises even my feet are swollen ?
I finally got off prednisone, but now my skin is flaking. I've always been prone to oily skin so this is unusual. Is this because I was on prednisone for over a year?
@@ayanibrahim5092 How can I help? If it's with the weight, have you watched all the videos in my Prednisone Weight Gain playlist? ru-vid.com/group/PLhiuC0v3SX69GzEFci2LaaCA1EkH-Qbyj
