Dang, you can just tell that Preet Bharara is extremely intelligent by how he speaks. He is very precise with his word choice, very clear with his explanations, and very sharp and quick witted. It is no wonder he got the New York Southern District Attorney position that he did. His comments about remaining independent from political persuasions and biases are more now more important than ever. Once people lose faith in the Judicial process and assume every outcome is politically motivated, the system is doomed. There is a very real danger that we are heading in that direction. All the attacks on Robert Mueller and his team have much further reaching consequences that go well beyond that investigation.

After seeing Preet Bharara on The View ..... people are writing again and again that they would like to see more of him. Everyone is recognizing him as a brilliant and dedicated voice for Americans. Personally, I agree, and wish he had at least an hour long show on a major network. People like him should be introduced to America, so we can know we DO have intelligent people standing up for us. It is VERY lonely these days, knowing our POTUS is 'unhinged.' Please, Preet, Help us! Please, MSM, give this brilliant man a TV show, so we can RELAX with his knowledge. . PLEASE~!

Preet Bharara is my kind of US Attorney. With as high pressure, polarizing and challenging his job is he still has that easy and spontaneous sense of humor. Not a shy bone in his demeanor in or out of office, he tells it like it is. That's got to be some sort of departure from the jelly fish backboneless entities that are on the take. I also like the sort of flair with which he deflects accusations or pressure directed at him/his office. Too bad he isn't in that capacity anymore or at the moment. Cheers!

I was with my own work many times indirect connected with Preet Bhahara and Loretta Lynch. They are both outstanding characters. The triangle Comey-Lynch-Bhahara was in the financial crime underworld in New York feared like Lucifer. In my opinion was this triangle the most successful upholders for law in the whole modern history of mankind. - - - For example the FIFA case. Our CCC was the whole time watching what was going on. We was thinking that it was from the courts not sensible enough to let the most criminals escape real punishment by paying heavy fines. The American court acted like street robbers which want to have a share of the stolen money. And for this very moderate fines was the triangle working their asses off. nice greetings to all of you Oxford Union people. Frank (I am since 30 years Interpol employed and since 18 years in Bangkok based.)

Off topic but, my daughter was an architect in London and while designing an upmarket gym, the wealthy owner couldn't understand why he needed wheelchair easy access. He believed that the "look' of disability wasn't compatible with the customer he was targeting. We're still having to fight these stupid battles.

As a proud American I am VERY upset and saddened that good people like Mr. Bharara are no longer serving our public (officially). I do not think this will be a permanent situation and am optimistic that after truly seeing the dark side we as citizens will take the danger posed by indifference and special interest MUCH more seriously and hopefully we can be rid of our clown of a president and his whole cabinet with the good work of Mr. Mueller. I for one am also sharpening my pitchfork in case the orange idiot gets any funny ideas.

Very sad period of time in American history this era of worship at the altars of greed, wealth, and valuation of all things crude - rude - and corrupt as long as the results make you look good and they produce money or power -- to my thinking. So 45, who resides in the People's White House, is merely a tragic example of this point of view. The downfall, I believe, will be the growing awareness of how corrupting, toxic and destructive 45's approach is in all things that he touches. If 45 is as he has acted since 2012 and his attempts to paralyze the Obama administration with his birther bullying and attacks, then he will implode eventually on the strength of his own evil attitudes and conduct. The only question in my mind is when he does implode whether he takes the country and the world with him. Anyone who has enabled this through a failure of character or knowledge has contributed to this despicable state of affairs at this time in our nation. Such individuals and groups need to take stock with themselves and effect personal growth and measures so as to prevent any future events of supporting evil and heartless pseudo-leaders.

I'm glad he brought up the issue of that Indian diplomat he made a case against.. I was wondering about all the negative press he must've faced from his home nation. ( that woman was strip searched and held in custody for hours before being deported.. which I thought goes against International diplomatic immunity agreements ).

I am glad he brought up that issue too. In fact that was when Preet came on my radar for the first time. And I have to sheepishly to say that at the time, I bough into all the reckless accusations made in the Indian press about him. He addresses this and other similar cases in his book. The fact that his office indicts a specific has little connection with the rank of the person. As he makes clear in his book, it isn't as if he wakes up one day and decides to charge people. He can't! There is a length period of preliminarily enquiries that are done using procedures across various departments. It is only when there is monumental evidence of wrongdoing, does the the SDNY choose to prosecute and bring the case, which they as a result almost always inevitably win. The Indian diplomat was in absolute contravention of labor laws. She was paying her household help below a dollar an hour and lied on immigration documents. The fact that she was strip searched, Bharara admits, was regrettable. But his office didn't have anything to do with that and has nothing to do with the reasons as to why she was arrested in the first place. It was handled by the police who arrested and processed her. The Indian diplomat had to learn the lesson the hard way. Flouting of norms and laws by using the badge as a shield works to a large extent in India. It does not in America. Her father and her since have been accused of many other crimes in India.

It was not immigration related to certain “kind of persons” but about immigration from certain countries which did not have a proper mechanism for a background check. I would imagine an intelligent attorney would know the difference- but I see he has some kind of political wool over his clarity of mind.
