Beating the system: (thanks to demonstrator ): Insert a cardboard on the sensor - remove the lid and keep aside (safety!!!!) , now the coconut from the edge of the shell can be removed with ease. Apply pressure depending the size of the grating you require. The product assumes the shell will be spherical for different sizes of the coconut. You need apply your mind and Jugad.
