As a Russian-American, my relationahip with cold is opposite. Cold eliminates disease and stimulates alertness, decreases inflammation, and is just an effing delight.
Its alright to keep your cat if you got it vaccinated and medicated on schedule and is completely a stay at home cat(to avoid bringing in bacteria from outside ) It is also scientifically proven that children growing up with animals have a better immune system and are more outgoing and sympathetic But your problem is with your in laws so you would need help from your husband to lead them to understanding It will be a hard way to go but i really hope you don’t need to give your cat away ❤
it’d honestly be strange ethically if she abandoned her cat if it was not a legitimate concern (i.e. cat has behavioral issues, diseases, etc). it’s not like she was raised within those cultural practices so you’d hope she’s well aware.
@@endersquacktransmission of that parasite is 15% and can be lowered by using gloves and a mask, it’s not a must but more so avoided when can be. you can literally get the same infection from touching raw meat, which I see pregnant women do plenty.
@goeticfolklore That is true. If you have to, you can do all those things. But it's still pretty risky, and it's better if you can get someone else to do it for you.
I’m Chinese. My mother in law secretly asked my husband if we would sent away our cat, Even though we’re not pregnant and not planning to any time soon 😂😂😂 It doesn’t mean she’s a bad person though. The older generation didn’t grow up with pets so they just don’t have the same knowledge, and pregnancy is considered such a delicate manner in China(sometimes too delicate)
Here in the Philippines, older people associate eating cold things to getting a very large pregnancy tummy and a big baby. I still don't know why, but since my pregnancy tummy was quite big when I hit the 7th month, they assumed that I ate a lot of ice cream. I didn't. 😅😅
What's up with these families tendency to get rid of if cats during pregnancy? I knew a few family that threw their cats during pregnancy. Very weird to throw your indoor cat and then get a puppy once the baby came. Very ironic and hypocrite! Also people have cats and dogs during pregnancy and all their babies are fine. At least there's no illness due to animals around my circle. Only heard about two closest families that their babies got herpes from other humans kissing and touching them so keep the cat and dog. Stay firm about it and do cleaning as usual or extra if you wish. Kids loves animals and they always create beautiful bond
Hoping whole heartedly that everything goes perfectly smooth. Heads up: Chinese culture also has the bad tendency to blame the mother if anything goes less than right in the pregnancy and birth.
