I am now imagining Uncle Iroh and Moamoa discussing philosophy and tea. Uncle Iroh mentions the story about the time he mixed up the plants and drank the deadly poison. Maomao is intrigued and asks him for some and they have another discussion. No, Uncle Iroh does not give her the deadly poison tea. Afterall, curiosity killed the cat cat. (Yes, I typed all that to make a Maomao means cat cat joke. 😅)

This is sort of a possible spoiler (really minimal though) I don't know about the light novel but in the web novel someone asked once to Maomao if she wasn't interested at all in having children. She answered that she was interested, but leaving aside finding a partner she would first need to detox her body since her resistance to poisons comes from being in constant contact with them. So yeah, your head canon is sort of canon, at least in the wn and might also be in the ln.

Some idea. Jinshi's nightmare: He coming inside and see Maomao and his son (or even more their kids) laing on the ground with big smiles (everyone eat poison) He's reaction. Then he can wake up.

Well, one good/bad thing I suspect is that she only gets mild mourning sickness. That's bad because that's the body's way of purging any trace amounts of toxins that we eat every day that would be fatal to an unborn baby.

My compliments to the writer that little comic felt so real. I could literally see that happening. In the ending part was killing me. It was so good. I kind of wish I could’ve seen the other guy. After hearing Jinshi, she mentioned she couldn’t eat poison.

Im not sure if the lady who served it was also the food taster but Maomao would definitely have one at that point. One of the best things about the series is that there are so many amazing characters who all grow fond and protective of Maomao in their own way. Still it’s a great comic!

You wanna know the worst thing though, Maomao knows what poison tastes like, imagine if she gets a craving that’s just full of the weirdest stuff and poisons and everyone says no, but then she pulls out the pissed off face and they immediately get her it because they don’t want to die today, then Jinshi is the only sensible one who asks if there’s a food that’s similar enough she’d eat that instead.
