Had the PC DOS port back in the day and sort of liked it.What is odd nor the Amiga nor Atari ST had a port back in the day.

Prehistoric Man on SNES is the definitive version. But dos version has its charm, it's more obscure and random but it'fun to explore

Prehistorik Man on SNES is a different game. It was very generic and uninspired, while Prehistorik 2 was one of the best platformers for DOS. Prehistorik 2 is a shorter (and harder) game than Prehistorik Man, but gameplay is so much better with each level having its unique feel. There's also better music in PC game. I don't know why they decided to make new game instead of porting Prehistorik 2 with better graphics and gameplay improvements. Prehistorik 2 was very popular PC game back then.

That excessively scrolling background in DOS version reminded me of Prince of Persia 2 on SNES. I wondered if it made by Titus and sure it is. I guess they was really proud of it.

I don't get the CPC+ version. Why didn't they use the extra hardware to make a better playing game rather than put a bunch of parallax sprites that only get in the way.

DOS version was the beloved one. I even bought one copy on PALM Clie if someone remembers what it is :) SNES ver. is ok, but it is a completely different game with a different atmosphere. Never heard about the "Reboot" version, looks bad...

If the Prehistorik-saga would begin wit' the reboot version, it'd fail and hit rock-bottom rite at the start. I'm glad Titus was a trillion times better than whoever committed that monstrousity...

CPC+ is bit disappointing, movement is still laggy and slow. Reboot looks great, but gameplay is interrupted every 5 seconds with those cloud instructions.

I can't believe they still made Amstrad games well into the early-mid 90's. Dear God, that reboot is horrible! It looks like a lot of other modern games with those kinds of cheap, lazy graphics and presentation, and the sound effects are painful to listen to, *_especially_* that annoying fly that's an obnoxious parody of Navi from Zelda: Ocarina of Time (It even says "Hey! Listen!", but in a *much* more annoying voice).

PC:WTF is this music? The graphics is what you expect. 6/10 Amstrad CPC:"pukes" --5/10 Amstrad CPC+:MY EARS!!! (Are these trees from green hill lol?) 3/10 Reboot:good but forgotten. Also,why did they added text? 5/10

I don't get what's your problem wit' the music. It uses MOD half-digital sound files as songs. Back then, when games were distributed on floppy discs, MP3s or WAVs would have taken up too much space. MOD was smaller in size, but still moar advanced than MIDI, so it was the best choice for that era.
