Preity Zinta shot to fame as the refreshing, cool, wet model in the Liril commercial. She started her career in the film industry with Kundan Shah's Kya Kehna (2000) but started shooting for Mani Ratnam's Dil Se (1998) first. The film was a hit which won Preity accolades. Later Abbas-Mustan's Soldier (1998) too was a hit at the box-office. Though Kya Kehna (2000) was her first film, it released in 2000 and was the surprise hit of 2000. Her role in Dil Chahta Hai (2001) and Dil Hai Tumhara (2002) made her an actress to reckon with in Bollywood.
