Tricks demonstrated: 1. Odd one out 2. 2 close options 3. Word Breakdown 4. 'Some/can be/one of the/most of the' are generic terms, 'None' is extreme. 5. Option 'All correct' is not correct in feature/fact based questions. 6. 'but-not' phrases used make the statement incorrect. 7. Soft terms like 'reflects/recognises/influences/enables/linked' make all options possibly true. 8. 'Constitution defines/classifies' is incorrect. 9. Option giving the definition of the term asked is mostly true. 10. New technology has positive features. 11. In application based questions, all are correct.
There's so many of these types of videos on this site, but this is perhaps the most comprehensive and detailed breakdown I've seen. Deserves more views.
thank uh gurudev! amidst the arena of poching industry someone is there who is genuinely developing our mcq solving aptitude sukriya love from Uttarakhand
First Video that I watched on this Channel and I am really Grateful as the way you communicated the process, mindset required and traps in questions, I got a new perspective for PYQ's and way you explained felt like a friend discussing and explaining. Thankyou so much, made few notes will now practise PYQ keeping in mind the learnings, Thankyou once again.
I kid you not, this is one of the best videos I’ve ever come across. You’ve highlighted, put in immense effort just so we can understand and apply. Thank you for doing what you do. Immensely grateful. I pray I pass my pre and make you proud
You have literally changed my aptitude towards upsc questions. I have figured out my weakness. Mine mindset was actually framed as per mock tests and I missed GS cutoff by 1 question in Pre 2023, despite clearing CSAT
tricks- don't take mock test mentality into prelims 1. odd one out (one is more specific, rest are generic) 2. 2 similar options (higher chance of being correct) 3. keyword questions- try to decode from the term 4. some/ can/ (reverse the statement to find if its extreme- some/no) right, subjective terms like 'water stressed' are extreme 5. extreme statements are generally wrong 6. soft terms- applied, influence of sci/envt- all can be correct,, but features are usually not all right. 7. but- not phrase used to make statement incorrect 8. const defines is wrong 9. when keyword defined in options, it is usually right 10. positive, soft statement is usually right 11. similar options can be clubbed together 12. sometimes interchange definitions within the option (AR/VR) 13. positive keyowrd usually has positive options and vice versa 14. newer tech is better than older tech 15. multiple facts in a statement make it weak
greaattttttt video . best present on my birtthday . just 1 request , if u could also mention year of each question ,it would be easier to mark and note down 😬😁😄
@@udaygowda1009 just apply logic na, India is not that much developed, still we have food security issues, why will groundnut be used, which is an important source of protein/diet for many? Also groundnut is one of the costly items.

beautifully explained. sir i have a doubt. ye saree pyqs ka analysis krne ke baad, how can we practice and be assured ki hum esi tricks laga pa rhe he ya nhi paper me coz as u said mocks are very different from actual paper, to practice kese kre????. Or can we score good by jusy analysing it thorouly?
