Thanks for posting this vid. Got a t2w4 that wouldn’t go into reverse.. now putting new synchros and sliders in to get it refreshed plus a shaved accord 5th for better highway economy all from synchrotech 💪🏼
So you're the one with the famous Prelude tattoo! I also had no idea you were the same person I follow on Instagram. The prelude with the beadlocks, good stuff.
@@H22PreludeDude yeah that's what I'm afraid of 😂 I'll be in the same boat as you stock trans built motor 😂 I have a 5th gear cuff but I'm sure it still doesn't help at that power level 😂
Love how clean your trans is shows how much care you put into your work. I'm the same way anal as hell when it comes to working on my vehicles. Everything has to be nice and tighty lol
I try to buy as many used ones as I can and use parts from those Transmissions that I get but if I have to buy something new I try to get it from Honda and if not there than Syncrotech
So I have apparently trans right now and I'm wondering if I could reassemble it. I've never been inside a Trans really besides valve bodies for 4l60s(cat eye Chevy 1500s) I've done alot mechanically. So I want to rebuild my spare one. Because it's getting close to time to change my clutch and second crunches going into it at high rpms. Would you recommend I try?
Sure!! Would be a good learning experience and will make you more confident! The one key thing is to keep everything in order and make sure none of the sliders or hubs get turned upside down.
this video is very helpful, i liked and subbed. may i ask you a question? I have an H series transmission from h23 non vtec. would you know why the selector lever would have a loose feeling? i see you engage it at 1:52, and from all the videos ive seen, they dont have any slop/play/loose
@@H22PreludeDude thank you. i bought the billet shifter, rsx cables and transmission cable bracket and will start there. if issue is not fixed, i will probably have to get a new transmission
Awesome video! Thanks. I do have a question for you, I have 2001 Prelude SH type, manual transmission. An oil sensor (part# 48150-P6K-003) that goes near the transmission is broken (which gives me the ATTS warning light on the console). I found out that these are hard to come by, the dealer don't sell them anymore. Is there a chance that you might come across one of them? Please, let me know. I'm willing to buy it.
Thanks!! Im honestly not familiar with the atts system on some of them.. Have you tried asking in Facebook prelude groups? I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to track one down from someone's parts car or junk yard
Its used for the transmission mount to hold the trans in the car. I just removed it to get the trans case bolt all the way out. Usually I leave it in and take that long bolt loose with a wrench
@@BaysideTub217 could probably find a bolt to use instead of stud and nut or order a factory stud and nut from Honda. Not a huge deal if youre missing it
@@H22PreludeDude Thanks, got a t2t4 with the very corner of the rear case where the stud is, cracked off, so just trying to gauge my options, was thinking maybe a m2y4 case but LSD may pose an issue, thoughts?
@@I_O246 I dont remember. Probably us that one with an accord final. I was buying whatever I could find. They wouldn't last more than a couple of weeks anyway
