In this movie, Sachin's character comes from a dysfunctional family who is emotionally starved and always seeks love from outside. And Reenu is a single child and she is caring and protective in nature. So when they get to know each other, both their needs meet. So I don't see a problem with hero being taking care of by the girlfriend or wife trope in this movie.

So for me to be convinced that Reenu settled for Sachin, the movie doesn't have to have a scene where Reenu says "Look Sachin, I'm going to settle for you". For me, the settlement arc is clear when she changed her well-thought-out partner preferences to what was available at her emotionally lowest and guilt-tripped state of mind. And yes, Sachin left for Chennai but there was a good amount of guilt tripping already from Amal Davis' side while he was gone. Sachin comes back and continues the guilt tripping during that dinner conversation at the party. Chennai poyi ennu paranjit karyillallo, vannit "oh ninte manass mathram swastham aayit irikanam" ennu parynnath, that too when she tried to apologise, was he not handling the rejection well, to me. Pinne she came back to him because she liked him ennoke parynnath enne sambhandich nalla under-reading aanu. They were pretty close friends, of course she valued him in that space. And she was not proud of the way she reacted to him when they met last. It's not like a random stranger walked up to her in a cafe and proposed her, and she reacted in a harsh language and now she doesn't care and can ignore him totally. The emotional complexities are different when it's a friend. Anyway, I shared my reading of the movie. I hope I have presented enough details from the movie to support my reading. Honestly sachin resembles one of my ex-classmates who had a crush on me. He had crush on multiple girls and when everyone rejected him he went after me. I immediately said no. But he stalked me for years. He even came to my home and waited by my gate just to get me to say yes. It was traumatic as f***. But I didn't say anything to my parents because they know his parents and I know it's going to be an awful conflict, so I remained silent. From 8th standard to 12th standard he keeps on stalking me. The worst thing was each of my classmates supported him and said I was cruel and heartless - just because all I said was a "NO" And after one year he proposed to my best friend, and she also rejected him..and when he got to know the fact I knew about the proposal he got butthurt and embarrassed. So to cover up that he spreads the rumour that I'm a playgirl. I'm glad I said no to such a toxic person.

സിനിമ എനിക്ക് ഒരു വിനോദം ആണ്. രണ്ട് മണിക്കൂർ റിയാലിറ്റിയിൽ നിന്ന് എന്നെ എസ്‌കേപ്പ് ചെയുന്ന ഏത് മൂവിയും എനിക്ക് ഇഷ്ടപെടും. Premalu ഈ അടുത്ത് ഞാൻ തിയേറ്ററിൽ പോയി കണ്ടതിൽ എനിക്ക് ഏറ്റവും ഇഷ്ടപെട്ട സിനിമ ആണ്. അത് ഒരു തീയേറ്റർ എക്സ്പീരിയൻസ് ഡിമാൻഡ് ചെയുന്ന സിനിമ ആണ്. Nb:-ഇനി നാളെ ആവേശം വും ott വരുമ്പോൾ ബുദ്ധി രക്ഷസന്മാർക്ക് ഓവർരേറ്റഡ് ആയി തോന്നും. അതുപോലെ ഇനി ഇറങ്ങാൻ പോകുന്ന ഗുരുവായൂർ അമ്പല നടയും തീയേറ്റർ ഡിമാൻഡ് ചെയുന്ന സിനിമ ആണ്.

ഇത്രയും കീറി മുരിക്കേണ്ട ആവശ്യം ഒന്നുമില്ല, ഒരു സിനിമ കാണുമ്പോൾ 2.5 മണിക്കൂർ എൻജോയ് ചെയ്യാൻ പറ്റണം, അത് 100% തരുന്ന ഒരു സിനിമ തന്നെയാണ് പ്രേമലു. എല്ലാവരും നല്ല അഭിനയം തന്നെ ആയിരുന്നു, കണ്ടു കഴിയുമ്പോൾ അമലിനെ പോലെ ഒരു കൂട്ടുകാരൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ എന്ന് തോന്നിപോകും.. സച്ചിനെപോലെ ഒരാളെ കിട്ടിയാൽ ആരായാലും പ്രേമിച്ചു പോകും അത്രയും pure hearted ആയിട്ടാണ് ആ character അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്... ആദ്യമായി കാണുന്ന പെൺകുട്ടിയെ ദീർഘകാലം പരിചയമുള്ള കാമുകിയായി കാണുന്ന സച്ചിന്റെ സ്വഭാവം മാത്രമാണ് ഇതിൽ ആസ്വഭാവികം ആയി തോന്നിയത്. പിന്നെ ഇതിൽ കോമഡി ഇല്ല എന്ന് പറയുന്നവർ പഴയ കാലത്തെ ഡബിൾ meaning കോമഡിയുടെയും ദിലീപിന്റെ കോമഡിയുടെയും ആരാധകർ ആയിരിക്കും.. കൂടുതൽ detailing ഒന്നും നടത്താതെ കണ്ടിരുന്നാൽ ഫിലിം കഴിയുന്നത് വരെ നമ്മൾ പൂർണ്ണമായും എൻജോയ് ചെയ്യും..
