Ik you probably have better leagues to go over, but I recommend you take a look at (and maybe make a vid about) the relegation battle in the Polish Ekstraklasa. It’s incredibly tight, and honestly I think it’s undeservedly going under the radar, that’s why I suggest you take a look at it
I don’t know why but La Liga, Bundesliga and Premier League have all been close and it’s been really refreshing. Great video as always. Love from Sweden 🇸🇪
"Southampton have only scored 9 goals since the start of the new year" Me, a long suffering Spurs who knows 3 of those goals were scored against us: "Well, shit."
I think this is the start of a completely new era for Leicester. Rn half our team is either gone by July or complete dead weight, the team is gonna be unrecognisable in a year or two and it’s really hard to know if it’ll be good or not. Watching Wout Faes defend every weekend brings me to tears.
As a fellow Leicester fan I don’t think Faes has been that bad. He’s far superior to Amartey and is one of the main reasons why we aren’t rock bottom (pre-world cup games). He’s erratic and shakey but gets stuck in and actually pushes forward.
@@chesterlester5770 I don’t feel either way about Leicester city. And I agree about Wout Faes, I think that he is fundamentally a very good defender with some excellent attributes and not many weaknesses. He’s been dropped into a very difficult situation thanks to Brendan Rodgers’ petty little ego battles & brutal training regime and has not had the best run of form, but he has still been the main force in the Leicester defence with his excellent intercepts. Let’s be honest; Leicester’s desperate defender signings of the very young & inexperienced Kristiansen and of that Harry Souttar who had no experience of this level of football and was purely on the back of a hyped-up performance at the World Cup (bizarrely for Australia, even though he is actually Scottish) were gambles that predictably didn’t pay off. Especially Souttar who looks like exactly the wrong style of defender for Rodger’s high line defensive tactics and who was often out of position and too slow, and who never really coordinated very well with Faes, and who seemed to be being picked because he was loyal to Rodgers. Now Rodgers is a bad memory; the new manager doesn’t have his petty little grudge against Soyuncu, so I expect that he will be back and that Faes won’t be left high and dry to look worse than he really is. And that the high line will be abandoned which will mean that when Souttar and Vestergaard do play that they won’t struggle so much.
With 3 matchdays remaining, it looks like Southampton, Leeds, and Leicester are getting relegated with what's left of those 3 teams' schedules and the other 2, which are Forest and Everton.
Yet to play Arsenal Man City Man United Brentford and Newcastle. The fact that you are NOT considering us (Chelsea) as possible relegation candidates is very nice of you
I want Everton to stumble and go down for no reason other than opening a new Multi million pound stadium custom made for the premier league whilst in the Championship will be really funny
as a forest fan im loving the battle just because we havent been here for so long and if we survive it would be MASSIVE, on the other hand if leicester come down with us... ill take that.
Seeing Everton and west ham battling to not be relegated has been intense, I'm so used to them being mid table teams, Leicester too Update:Looks like it's over for Everton Well RIP Leicester
I remember walking through town in Leicester the year they won the league and thinking "I can't believe how far we've come" and now they're back in the relegation zone 😢. How did they fumble so bad?
@@bababababababa6124 Idk Leicester don't have an easy run by any means, playing the likes of Liverpool, Newcastle and Fulham while most of the rest of their games are against relegation rivals who will be fired up aswell. The appointment of Dean Smith doesn't really inspire confidence either imo
I am looking at Premier League table right now and FOrest got out of relegation zone by being Brighton, i looked at the line up and realized that Brighton used Stele as GK, he was one of the GKs used by Sunderland during their Championship relegation, and was featured on that Netflix show. It explains how Forest won.
I mostly watch Serie A but this relegation battle is insane. Also mind boggling how West Ham are like 15th in the league & in the semis for the Conference League. Day 38 gonna be a madness
The only bad thing is unfortunately West Brom and Norwich are creeping back into it. We need more Brentfords and fewer permanent one and done yo-yos. Personally would love to see Luton for the sole reason it would drive the Brexiters nuts.
i watch all leicester matches as a big fan im extremly dissapointed watching how they played last season to this season from 8th to 19th such a sad sight to see leicester have the money but it feels like the management is a joke they have no idea how to buy players and how to use the players we have except maddison who is an exceptional player
This is so close I wouldn’t be surprised to se whoever the bottom 3 will be get promoted next season straight away. Current prediction for Forest Leeds & Southampton
Should see the state of the Championship right now. 6 points separates 5th from 13th so 8 teams are battling for two playoff spots with 4 games left of the season.
Ah yes! The sorry of how QPR went from Promotion hopefuls in the play off positions and pushing for automatic promotion to shitting the bed and now being 21st
Jinxed it man. You could've waited literally a single day more until the Arsenal match. But you had to go out and say Southampton has the attack of a puppy. Had to, didn't you?
After today, the scrap is still nuts! Leicester was briefly out of the hole with that draw at Leeds, then Forest climbed out with that critical win. Everton's kind of in trouble now, which means the second longest stay in the English top flight may very well be gone, like that.
PLEASE one of these for the European spots... would be awesome! There's only like 2 teams not involved in either a relegation battle or a european battle
Wolves fan here, Bruno Lage wasn't sacked after the 3-0 loss to Chelsea - he was sacked after the 2-0 loss to West Ham (in which he played Rúben Neves as a CB)
As a Leeds fan who went to both games, we've looked utterly hopeless but a lot of the defensive stats have come from the shambles of conceding 5 and 6. Prior, our defense wasn't great but manageable. Injuries over the int break to key players like Tyler Adams and Max Wober who are arguably our two best players defensively has shot us in the foot a bit but Wober is looking to be back for Fulham and Adams could be back at some point, probably for that vital West Ham game. I wouldn't write us off, but the next two games are vital.
@@mylescoles as a Blackburn fan your spot on Literally we should’ve beat you lot,Huddersfield and hull and we wouldn’t have the problem we have now heck that draw yesterday would’ve all but secured playoffs if we won the games listed above There’s some in our fanbase who are delusional and think we’ll make it We’ve literally earned 3 points out of a possible 15 in our last 5 games We’re fucked
@@paintsniffer401 don’t worry I know If they’d didn’t blow it and actually beat the 3 teams they should’ve beat in Birmingham,Huddersfield and hull then with yesterday’s draw they be all but in with a secured playoff place I said it myself our players and manager have only got themselves to blame
What sucks for West Ham is that they are in the Conference League yeah everyone makes fun of it but for them they are enjoying but it is hurting them in the league.
