The Premier League's arrogance is what people don't like.

The EPL is competitive, full of quality, and fun to watch. I say this as someone who watches it every week. But far too many people who only exclusively watch the EPL have a very overinflated valuation of the league. I constantly hear people say things like it’s the only competitive league where anyone can beat anyone, the title isn’t decided each season, Champions League and European spots are always up for grabs, etc. That right away tells me the people saying that do not watch other leagues at all. I say this not because the EPL isn’t a great league. But it’s not shocking at all to see EPL teams crashing out of Europe if you actually watch other leagues and not just the EPL. Because other top leagues are competitive from top to bottom, full of quality, very often provide much more entertaining and technical matches, have crowd atmospheres that are much better than EPL library matches, and provide much of the talent that eventually filters to the EPL.

It’s very good because it knocks back the delusional EPL fanboys who label other leagues Farmers Leagues

EPL Fanboys are the biggest football experts in the world. It makes no sense to talk with them about football. They life on their own island :)). But honestly the EPL is the best league in the world but for sure not that strong as the Fanboys think. here some facts: Check the CL winner in the last 15 years: 8 Spain 5 England 2 Germany 2 Italy In the top 10 of the CL winners are only 2 EPL Teams, Liverpool 6, ManU 3 In the top 20 of the players who won the most titles not one English Player In the top 20 of the most CL games no English Player and i can Continue but again it makes no sense and i not even start to talk about the England national team with all there titles :)) My advice let us all enjoy the game, support our teams and talk nonsense to the opponent.

I think this is much ado about nothing. All the leagues have something special about them. And I have been particularly impressed with the teams my team Villa have faced in the conference cup.

I await the discussion about the "best league in the world" that has how many teams in Europe right now? I guess when you are constantly relying on foreign investors, players, managers and can't grow anything competent on your own every so often this is going to happen, right?

Liverpool crashed out against Atalanta after scoring only a penalty in two games. Bayern bullied Arsenal out of the UCL. Real outlasted Man City all the way to penalties and knocked them out. The EPL has been weighed. They have been measured. And they’ve been found wanting. Saying head to head competition isn’t the definitive measure is ludicrous.

German Bundesliga is currently the best football league in the world

I mostly watch Serie A so I'll be pleased if Italy get the 5th spot, and the Germans deserve it too for their efforts this season. When this reform was decided it looked certain that England and Spain would collect those additional places, it's a nice surprise. Having said that this thing is being overdone and overanalyzed. As things stand we might have Bologna/Juventus/Atalanta representing Italy, as well as Leipzig and Stuttgart for Germany within the 5. It's very hard to imagine those teams scoring lots of points in the CL's cut-throat games, so the advantage of 5 teams is not going to be of much use. Something similar happened in the late 1990s/early 2000s when Italy and Germany initially had 4 spots, but poor performances from the likes of Parma, Inter, Dortmund, Leverkusen and others soon led to the loss of these in favour of Spain and England. Such teams would be much better off in the EL or Conf League, collecting points for their league. Atalanta and Juve for example got knocked out in the group phase of the CL in their last participation, but did fairly well in EL.

EPl is the biggest brand in europe but all leagues are competitive i think i would even put Serie A above EPL and La Liga that league is so competitive and full of quality..Juve dominance made it a farmers league just like Bayern in bundesliga but when teams realise its more mental than anything thry start to compete.

Premier league every club except for bottom 2 is literally so tightly packed in terms of quality that’s why prem teams struggle in Europe if they don’t have a big squad the intensity is very high they play like it’s a final every match whereas top 3-4 clubs in other leagues can rest their players against bad teams that cost £50-100m comparing to prem every team cost £300m+ minimum that’s why premier league attracts all the best players in the world even your bottom half of the prem teams is stacked with international stars

Its only because UEFA changed the rules to only the previous seasons results,rather than the previous 5 or 6 seasons. The Premier League was way ahead of every other league under the previous system. Now because they've had one relatively poor season they get penalised!
