Here is an idea....stop ruining the outcome in the title....the thing with sport is it makes for quite intetesting viewing when you don't know the result....just saying
So the reason he didn't blown was because he didn't make contact with the ball or ball carrier..... But I'm sure a fraction of a second later Dommers was going to be the ball carrier. Crazy rules
Until they start benching referees for shocking decisions like this, we're going to keep getting them. I never agree with abusing the referee, but when you get a decision like this, harlequin's throw on the halfway line turns into a letter tigers try. Then I wouldn't be happy if I was a harlequin's player or a harlequin's fan. Should have reset the game with a scrum to harlequin's and everybody would have been happy
According to the laws, he made the correct decision to continue play. The issue was with his positioning - he shouldn't have impeded play in the first place. So it was poor reffing, but not because of the decision to continue play.
W8 left the LO early and the set up is a mess with the W hooker stood a foot left of the mark. W8 is the only player liable for sanction for leaving early but play on is fair as he isn’t material to the ball. It is far from a shocking decision and could have been prevented in the LO set up
It’s an interesting point though: there are a lot of experienced overseas players plying thier trade in the Prem, whilst their domestic leagues are developing the next generation. I do wonder if this is hurting the English national team, not in terms of quality of the first 15 (quality overseas players bring a lot in this regard), but more in terms of strength in depth. Take SA for example; they have enough quality for 2 top-class teams, whereas England barely has enough for one, lol. Joking aside, I do wonder whether the RFU should either limit the number of overseas players OR bin the ridiculous rule that you must play in England to qualify for the national team.
@@MiniMatthew Plus Tyrone Green and Liebenberg! Some good Springbok B team representation (bar Polly) on the feld yesterday, the boys played well. All really lucky to be part of two great sides in Tigers and Quinns - excellent places to play rugby and surround by lots of other high quality internationals.
Still surprises me how the commentators lose their shit over union wingers finishing in a way that’s kind of predictable athleticism in super league, as if they’ve just turned water into wine.
