Your last video was eight years ago. Glad you are back. I am hoping to have total hip replacement next year. I just returned to pouring over surgery info a few days ago. I was born with dislocated hip. A surgeon corrected it when I was 15 months old. My mother was told the reason my femur ended up one inch shorter was because healing slowed the growing of that femur. I have always walked with a limp due to the shorter femur. When I delivered my child in my late 30's, my hip was damaged. Instead of a 1/2 inch lift I needed a 1-1/8 inch lift inside my shoe to even out my legs. I have just have a difficult and exhausting gait. Could you do a video that discusses leg lengthening options that can be included during total hip replacement? I understand you can only go so far before the nerves can no longer stretch. At this point getting back to 1/2 inch leg length discrepancy would greatly improve the quality of my life.

Leg lengthening can issue through hip replacement to some extent. Lengthening over a very long distance would generally be considered by an orthopedic trauma surgeon or oncologist, I would seek care from these specialists to consider this.
