Jack, what I like the most about you is that I can tell you’ve remained the same humble person even with all the success. That means a lot and we need more people like you in the world. I pray for you for strength to stay the course. Thank you for the episode!
Wow, you are those guys on the front lines, and I have the utmost respect for you! I admire their courage, they are fearless when needed, and altruism. Gratitude. 👏👏👏🙏🙌💐🤲
My God, how many strong experiences you have, and I hope that your honorable career ends with great success, and always with a lot of protection for you and your companions. May God bless you all, and may you have great happy moments, except tense, off the front too. May the bonds that are created in these circumstances be fraternal, fruitful, and lasting for all of you. Congratulations, my gratitude as your human, and best wishes. 🙏🙌👏👏👏💐🤲
I thoroughly enjoy listening to true warriors and patriots . . . the knowledge nuggets are plentiful. Thank you both for the service to our Nation and your continuing contributions. Jack spoke of gratitude, i am grateful for both of you.
What is so sad is that we cannot trust our government agencies in today’s world. We do not trust the FBI, the IRS, the Justice Department and on and on. Thank you Jack for the excellent books and the very interesting interviews.
What a great pidcast with you 2. Mr Carr you have an amazing talent of telling stories. And Mr Glover ypu tell a great story and have a great outlook on life and are a role model of mine i agree with both of your values and thank you soo much for your services and for your opinions on leading not just in life but especially leading and training your family. Thank you soo much both of you and my God bless you both and also may God bless America!!!!!!
man those stories are incredible! Thank you. And thank you for your service! I was always too cowardly to join. Something I have only recently realized about myself. And, I don’t like it. But anyway, thank you for sharing awesome and amazing stories like that with people like me so that I live vicariously in my imagination. Simply incredible.
I love listening to you both, as well as Evan, Andy, and Clint Emerson. Jack Carr is the new Tom Clancy, and I loved reading Clancy. Thank you both for your service to our country and for what you do now!
‘The Spectre Ship’ Frank Hurley’s photo of Endurance. In the background behind MG. Shackleton Antarctic Expedition is the best story of leadership and survival ever.
A real joy to see these two together! Thank you both!! Jack, any chance of getting you together with Shawn Ryan?? (Love my 200.00 Luminox Sentry watch! Analog all the way!!)
I can not imagine being in combat,I have deep respect for all of you who serve for all of our freedoms! I can relate to lack of sleep, ever since I had my first son,my quality of sleep is limited! Thanks to you guys for your service for all of our freedoms!
Ah, how cool that you activated subtitles in other languages, for my part I loved it, because I don't speak English. Thank you very much, and happy 2024, as it is still beginning, and with a lot happening for and against us. 👏🌷🤲🌟🌬🦅RFK Jr. in 2024? Yes.
Man when I was a young man, I spent hours teasing and looking for information on you fellas. I was always so intrigued… today I get to see and hear you. It’s a beautiful sight. Literally my heroes. Very jealous I never had the mindset or know how to follow your path and at least try. Regardles, I apply your mindset to my business and honor the American way of life
Five Fucking Stars! You guys are like old friends, we all trust what you say. Not getting much of that these days. This year is going to be wild. Be ready.
I was the last of the young soldier generation to serve with guys that were still active and were involved in the oef and gwot at the time of 9/11. I feel lucky to have served with those guys.
It's always good when Mike's on the show. I'm not a watch guy, but found that discussion quite interesting. Let's hear it for stuff that doesn't need to be plugged in.
I really enjoy the content from both of you. I like Jack’s monthly reading list. Gives me insight on different books to read. I like how talks about different gear and who manufactures the gear. Mike gives good analysis on various current events of the day. I like how Jack and Mike talk various people on different topics; e.g. terrorism, natural disasters, military history. I do agree with both of them. One should do their best limit being on social media. Go out and enjoy nature, or accomplish goals.
Did you see the father/daughter team running their Porsche in this year's Classic category at the Dakar rally? Very cool. There's some nice footage of them over on the Dakar RU-vid channel.
Great interview with Mike Glover with the issues from the 9/11, Middle East conflicts with the Iran backed terrorists like Hezbollah Hamas and others, reading books with Jack Carr, studying the enemies of freedom and America. Can't wait to see the new season premiere of the Terminal List Dark Wolf and the new James Reese novel series Red Sky Mourning ⚓🎖🔱🦅🌎
Ben Edwards / Taylor Kitsch wears a PARA CORD SURVIVAL BRACELET ON THE GARMIN WATCH?? Any one know which strap/ survival bracelet it is? thanks great show need them every quarter why not film for a month then 2 months to polish for TV :)
Miss that life, A-stan; 04 was the wild west. The most fascinating part was the discussion about watches, sleep and personal develop :) excellent interview. I think this one of Mike's better interviews, his demeanor is different in a more positive way.
Jack, You're a great American but man get some sleep. You have to take care of yourself not only for your family but for all of us out here that are big fans. Take care. Mike just ordered your book Prepared. Delivery tomorrow.
Jack take a look at Helm watches all analog, built like tanks and affordable, one watch lover to another. Thank you both for your service above and beyond.
I find it hilarious that everybody had beards. I am retired out of 10th SFG (A) and every trip to Afghansitan, at least for 1/10/B, only 5 guys could have beards. The most ridiculous shit ever. I remember on 1 trip over, I was the 18F and my beard rivaled Chuck Norris, the PRC Chief of Police talked directly to me everytime we had a meeting with him, because our Capt and Team Sergeant both had 10 hairs between the both of them. It was just so stupid that the leadership didn' t understand the battle space. Thanks for preaching it brother, keep it up.
Fyi anyone who loves Tom Clancy or Fleming James Bond type books should check out Jack Carr. Also, as a former MDPD officer I found Mr Glovers book a great read on survival and more importantly survival mind set a must read too.
Just wow. I am listening to this while printing off some paperwork. I was just a tanker. I wear no watch or other yuppy thing. I am kind of tore up from the neck down. I am getting ready to have my 18th or 19th operation. I'm getting a spinal cord stimulator, but I basically take a lot of pain meds every day and just gut a lot of pain and keep myself rolling and busy doing the things that I like doing. I raise hogs on pasture, we garden, and do lots of things to be self sufficient. We also have veteran neighbors out here in the country, and we all are close and work together. We do hard manual labor, we still get dirty, and we shoot together, and I think have a good idea of things going on, and the current state of things. I actually worked on the border myself for many years when I first got out. You all tracking sleep and things like that is just pretty lame and I just don't feel connected to you all like I once did. With the money comes a certain difference in attitude over time. Hell, I am lucky in my condition if I get a few hours a night. You all now talk down to people like you are above everyone, and hell I have a cousin who was doing the same shit. He was embedded in Russia when his mother passes (my aunt) and couldn't be told, or attend her funeral, and didn't even find out for over a year.
Using a marathon as an example, since an attack of terrorism was possible. Bad choice. A black Swan event is an unpredictable or unanticipated. A bent that has a major change in what's going on or outcome. The fact that our society was being told constantly to be on the lookout for possible merits of events at such events meant it was predictable. There was a high rate that it could have been avoided had people been paying Attention.
Jack, Look @ Enriva 1000 meter I'm a big analog guy, I put mine on an old waterborne nylon with Suunto compass!! I've worn em all, this bezel action and accuracy is incredible...... Bill
With regard to preparedness and training for a lot of us the limiting factors are time and money. Most of us can’t drop fifty k for a classic car. Can you offer advice on priorities and how to best to allocate the resources we have and how do we access that information?
i wonder if Glover and Markiplier ever talked to each other? I bet they’d share all their unique experiences coming from mixed Korean/American families. How fun it would be!
My wife and I had the same experience at the same time regarding COVID. She was really sick. I was somewhat but not like her. Looking back, it was COVID. They gave her every Flu test they had and came up negative.
