Try using bungie cords (the round type) and bend the hooks out to form 60 degree angles. That way you can pass the hooks through the holes that you've drilled into the window and they will stay in place until you remove them. Using bungie cords you will be able to quickly install your window insulation and remove it (and the cords) when you don't need them.

#Crazyquady speaking of step stools I'm assuming you have a hitch but you should look into a step that you can put inside your hitch it's like any other step for example just made for your hitch I don't know the right name for it but I use that when I go truck camping

So, plot twist with the "extension cord" The more wire use(the longer the electrons have to flow to reach the appliance) the more energy is lost. When running off a battery pack thats relatively important. Also, that little heater will eat up your Watt Hours from the deep cycle battery and only get acouple of hourw run time. Another heater option is the "Lasko MyHeat 200w personal heater $20" Which you may get more run time from.

You should look into trying out one of those hand warmer blankets. It has 8 or 10 pockets for hand warmers to make it a heated blanket of some sort, I guess.

Just spent two nights tent camping this weekend here in wisconsin. Got down to low 30’s late night/early morning. Wasn’t terrible.

It is cold here in South East WI. Northern WI is just beautiful.

I have those same flannel sheets, super warm, I go to the Army surplus store near me and get flannels, wool blankets they have just about everything a person can use in all types of weather conditions... see if you have one near you or on your next travel....not expensive.. good video Mike, thanks for showing us all the things you may take with you, swap it out for cold Temps, their here.. lows in Wisconsin is already 30s and light frost.. Northern Wisconsin we have black bears.. just keep your food picked up and placed up in a tree if possible. Ohh get a few smaller bungy cords to use to hold it in place tight...if the cord fails try ✌ Mike last thing, you have OCD like me, everything has its place, and it has to be just ✅ right..it sucks having it at times..

Shouldn’t store your burner like that it smashes the lighter. Suppose to use the stand for the bottle so it doesn’t get smashed.

The whole time you were putting the parachord in, I was thinking bungee chords... then I thought you could put them through a pool noodle to hold the reflctix tighter to the window.

Nice work Quady. So, I do curtain, reflectix, corrugated plastic from "vote for me) signs I find laying around on the side of the roads. I use ths wire that holds the signs in the ground too. They reach (wedge) from the top of the bed rail to the ceiling and hold insulation in place. I also insulate front and rear windows so my head and feet stay warm at night.

For my roof vent shade, I put some small screws into the frame of the vent and then used small bungee chords and hooked the ends on the screws to hold it in place. Works great.

You need one of those ends with a spring loaded button like you would find on a coat hood string (maybe a trip to goodwill you can find a cheap winter coat) for the window strings.

I wrapped one side of my reflectix with black vinyl and it looks great. I think that would work good for yours if you do any stealth camping.

They do make elastic 550 cord that would stay tighter on the back.
