Preparing for my Puppy to come home, and meeting her for the first time | VLOG 

Honestly, from a disabled person that needs to budget their energy and what they can and can't do in a day/week: putting something on halt when there's SO MUCH going on is necessary sometimes and so so understandable and it's important to watch out for yourself and not completely overwork yourself on everything that is going on. And I'm glad you're aware and trying to do that! Also, congrats on the puppy, they all seem very sweet, I can't wait to see the girl you're bringing home

(..maybe put some kitchen towel under dig box to help soak up?) 😏😘 I put kitchen towel into hammocks: a) comfy bedding b)can take out and replace every few days..(so hammocks don't get too damp too quickly...well, that's the idea anyway!) 😄

Hey i am also a new puppy owner, i got my first about 2 months ago. Advise and tips: if you have an open kitchen-baby gate, the pup will start to learn boundaries with doors and baby gate helps other wise you will have a puppy jumping at your counters begging for food. Start leaving her from day 3, leave her for at least an hour or 2 for the first fortnight. The crate was the best thing for us, but we only use it for nightime and used a playpen for leaving him (hes grown uot it now so we have an outdoor area), the toy basket becomes a toy itself, sit down with your partner and anyone who will help raise her and set the rules-these need to be strictly followed from day 1, also put all your shoes in a cupboard and make sure she cant get into your laundry basket (we learnt this the hard way), also get couch covers (even if she's not allowed on the couch-cause she will jump up there to find out if she can go there or not) you will never be prepared for the long hours stood outside and the sitting somewhere for an hour as she takes a nap on you but its so worth it-also remember you dont need everything to start off with, you can figure out what she likes and bye stuff in a week or so. I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion or not - but I think now that it's not bioactive anymore it looks much cosier again. 😂♥ River is SO cute!! I had a 200 pound mastiff/dane mix named Loki who loved our cat, Chance. They would hang out together and the dog would lick the cat until Chance was literally sopping wet. Loki passed away over 10 years ago (still miss him so much). My current dogs wouldn't do well with a cat and I miss cats a lot.

Aahh! I can't wait for little River to come home! 😍 I think it's a good idea to take a break from the rescue, cause oh my gods, puppies are a handful. 😅 Love the puppyhood, but I'm glad my dogs are all adults now lmao. Thought for a second that Aero was gonna pee on the tray when you were cleaning it, 😂 cause my boys love to bully me like that. I be wiping their pee from baskets and stuff and they will flop down from their hammocks to go and piss on the cleaned surfaces again, even though their litter trays are literally right there. 🙈

My vet presses our animals paw prints into some clay then bakes it when they die so we have their paw print.

I no how you feel about bioactive! I had a bioactive setup for awhile and couldn’t do it anymore! Too much to worry about which is what the opposite of a bioactive should be.

I converted a 40 gallon tank this past week into an African Soft Fur enclosure. I regretted my life choices as I was cleaning it out. I had put aquatic soil under the gravel for plant growth and it was horrible to clean out. It took 4 hours to get it cleaned up and ready.

I am so exited for your new puppy! I love all your rats! Your chanel has hellped lot for learning a lot about rats. I have two boys (Lennie Jack) and (Gugus hendrix) they have middle names. I am woried about them oassing soon becuase they are getting older. I am expecting them to live for at least 6 months longer but I am still a little scared.

Hello, I had a question, not sure where to ask. Ants keep getting into my ant enclosure no matter how often I clean it. Do you know if there's any traps or poisons for ants that won't hurt the rats. I want to put one next to their cage, but I worry if a rat eats a poisoned ant, they will be poisoned as well.

Are you still using snowflake bedding for your rats? Just wondered if you found it better than aubiose in the end?

i found your channel while researching care for mice but i actually decided to get rats instead after watching more of your videos. i think it's cool that i'll be going to pick them up around the same time as you get your puppy! you inspired me to make the commitment of getting rats from a reputable breeder rather than a pet store like i have in the past. today we confirmed that my 3 girls are going home with me. i'm super excited to get them, and i'm very excited for you as well! :)
