Dry goods is my thing. I buy many kinds of beans, lentils, grains, nuts, seeds in bulk (25 to 50 lb bags.) from wholesalers. I also grow tons of sprouts and micro greens year round and have developed a way to grow substantial amounts of nutrient dense greens from compost on a city lot during the growing season. I dry hundreds of pounds of fruit during the hot somer in a home build solar-powered dryer. Most of our daily food comes from our stock that gets continuously rotated. We make our own sourdough weekly and grind our own heathy breakfast cereal. Unfortunately, I live in the middle of a leftist infested sh!thole of a city where nobody is prepared because they believe the O'Biden regime.
Started to intermittent fasting, Keto Carnivore diet has been lowering my glucose levels, decreased hypertension, decreased my cholesterol levels. I'm now off all medications. Praise the Lord 🙏 Amen.
I had a Mormon friend that we discussed this problem, and he is so proud of the food and water he stored. Then I asked him how he was going to defend it and he told me he had a rifle----with one bullet. Then he wanted to know what I stored, and I told him it was a minimal amount. He asked why not more. I told him that I had more than one bullet and I knew where he lived. He purchased more bullets.
Never was drawn to ebooks, love the joy of reading books, the feel and smell of paper, its a soothing, tactile experience, theres nothing better! Even getting 2nd-hand books is becoming much harder, the shipping costs have gone up exponentially to us at the ends of the earth.
If one thing stuck with me from my time in BSA (when it was still the Boy Scouts of America), it was to “be prepared.” And being prepared covers the whole spectrum from beans, bullets, bandages, BIBLE. Wise virgins. Thank y’all.

Yes, it boggles my mind that China would be in such a serious control. I don't know if an American entrepreneur could take on this problem without government interference. However there are American and Canadian pharmaceutical companies that could definitely cover this.
@@hhealy7199 I’m 55 and as long as I can remember China and America were never friends, or at least that’s what our government wants us to believe. With the exception of food/drink, most everything that is sold in this country is made in China, which just wasn’t the case when I was growing up. Mostly this is insanity, but definitely hypocritical to say the least. I know that labor is cheap in China, and those that worship the “almighty dollar” can put more in their deep pockets. Why are we taking jobs away from American citizens and in return making China wealthy? What our government says doesn’t align with what it does, leading me to believe that maybe it isn’t China, but those closer to home that are truly our enemies.

Our government gives billions and billions and billions of dollars to Ukraine instead of hardening our electrical grid. The degree of recklessness and incompetence is mind-blowing.
What Jim says is very much true about our prescriptions are being made and produced in other countries China, India, and like Jim I had to be prescribed antibiotics recently and they were worthless!!AND I also take narcotics from many yrs of working in factories,Last month it was like taking a baby aspirin,THIS MONTH a half of a lortab 5 mg

People need to be reading their Bibles and seeking the LORD. I fear that we are all living in the calm before the coming storm. It’s almost like we’re all passengers on a locomotive, but the engineers are either stupid or psychotic and the train is about to derail over a cliff. Very few have raised a warning but the rest were too comfortable on their cell phones. This will be a very long and brutal summer. It will only be by God’s grace if we all make it to the end, without WWIII, some apocalyptic catastrophe such as an EMP on our electrical grid, or the inevitable colossal collapse of our currency, the U.S dollar or all three nightmarish scenarios happening all together at the same time. This is also an election year and none of us knows how that is going to turn out. There is so much that could happen this summer. I try not to dwell on it and live one day at a time but one can surely sense the intensity of the times on people’s faces. I think we all feel that a major hurricane is coming, we just don’t know how or when it will hit but we (Christians) must continue trusting in the LORD and staying in Church.
Agreed. Prepping alone will not prepare people for what is coming. "it is time to seek the LORD" Hosea 10:12 I have used my channel for the purpose of warning people of the need for "spiritual prepping".
@fionagray3258 100% as important as having supplies may be, there are far more than just temporal needs. People will have to be sustained physically, mentally and spiritually, in order to survive and thrive. The despair alone will be too much, if people try to navigate this without God.
@@GospelTestimonyAbsolutely agree. People don't have a hope without relying on God. I think it's wise to be somewhat prepared. Foolishness not to. However our provisions could disappear in an instant through robbery, war and other means. We all must pray for discernment to be guided and never, ever join their satanic system when it rises. I firmly believe WWIII is coming. This being the Great Tribulation spoken of by Jesus. We are told that God intervenes to "cut it short " I don't think people are aware that all of this is by design, man-made and that it is God Almighty who "cuts it short. They will make out that they are the saviours and people will believe them. " After the "cutting short " is the time period when they'll bring in their precious NWO. I feel certain of it. THAT'S when they try to force everyone to take the Mark of the Beast, in other words, join them. I don't believe it's a literal mark. They may kill us, but if we join them, we're as good as dead anyway. I also believe that they only have 42 months of their tyrannical rule before they are wiped off the face of the earth! I don't know your thoughts. Just giving mine. May God be with you..
Do not worry about tomorrow. For the heavenly father knows your needs. Think of the Sparrow's, how much more important are we than them.? God knows your needs.
I agree! I write the prices on my food preps, and I am eating food that cost a dollar (and sometimes more) less than what I am buying replacements today.

"Prepping", in my experience, is a rabbit hole. You start prepping in case you have a storm, and you end up thinking you need to go off-grid and homestead.
The Bass Pro shops sell the Biolite camp stoves allow you to bio water with just small sticks while it turns the heat into electricity. You connect your USB cables to charge phone’s, lights, radios ect. Also you can just get some cheap solar out doors lights to use as indoor lighting.
I have taken black permnent felt oen and marked items by the mfg month/year on top and side and some the entire calorie, estimated count on top of can, assuming a water event. Organized but type and date. Nuts in freezer keep, high carb sugar isn't healthy but will jeep and keep your butt alive. If you don't have water, won't matter for long. People in cities have little space to store and are not ss like minded. Underground may protect from EMP. The temperature remains more constant, although cooler. You can move or put on warmer clothing. Most people won't get even consider taking cold, short shower, eat cold food, fast, sleep in the car sitting up... It is all a form of prepping...just be less picky, get over it... LARRY, share the story of Stone Soup

You provided some useful information, but much of what you suggested would be well beyond my means, such as the food that lasts 25 years. I am a 62 year old widow, living alone, and because of serious ill health I cannot work. I receive benefits, but they are so basic that toward the end of the month, I might have to live on cheese sandwiches for a week. I wish you had given us information on the types of food to buy relatively cheaply and how long they are likely to last. Mr Ferguson was going to talk about freeze-dried food etc, which I would have found very helpful. I hope that in the future you will provide a basic checklist of affordable foods that have a reasonably long shelf life. Thank you.
I am so sorry you are in such a tight financial situation. If you can manage even an extra bag of rice, an extra can of beans, chicken, tuna, or veggies, or an extra jar of peanut butter (which all have longer shelf life) each time you go to the store, that would be a start. Is there a food bank in your area where you could pick up some extra cans of fruit or veggies? Canned food has a much longer shelf life than the “use by” date.
Also there are sites on line that give a detailed list of provisions good to have plus the different methods of preserving. Public libraries have free access to computers.
I like that you suggest an old car (I heard it needed to be pre 1970), but please only drive if absolutely necessary because that will put a large bullseye on your back.
I also wondered if 2005 was actually old enough. Just from memory, it seems the first mass revolution of electronics in American autos was going to electronic ignitions, which began in the 70s. Electronic ignitions became very common, even while most engines still used carburetors. That was followed by the transition from carburetors to fuel injection, and to have reliable fuel injection, electronic controls were a must.

Sounds like you’re doing a great job! Do you have a way to heat any food or boil water? Bass pro shop or Cabela’s have tiny backpacking, stoves and small fuel cans to go with them. Mine will boil water in less than a minute… Very efficient.
@superwinstonsmom... You're in the right direction! Keep buying canned goods maybe a tote with a lid. Buy up batteries and cheap flashlights (I dollar store em), headlamp for hands free light (family dollar store 5.00), have at least Two five gallon buckets on hand (bakeries give em away or small fee). Thrift stores have backpacks for minimal $,, you Wana put 2 days clothes, socks, gloves, hat, book, flashlight n battery, meds, pen, paper, Kleenex, water bottle, small canned food. Hello Larry from Dallas Texas. Another great skill to develop and have is to know herbal remedies, medicine and herbs and plants for food and nutrition. Like dandelion is fantastic for both. Get some really good books on these. One great place to start is RU-vid, like The Homegrown herbalist, there’s others also available with fabulous information.
Love Jim Ferguson! But what about the cell towers and power delivery systems? Water, gas, everything comes over wires or via electric switches. Gasoline is stored in tanks underground at stations, but without electricity, you can't get it out without digging.
Anti-septic solutions and ointments, such as Savlon and Dettol, are also very good to have around. Also a salt and water solution can also be quite effective and is usually on hand.

Yes, let's sell everything and move to Montana or Alaska and become homesteaders. Larry, I'm a 70 something year-old Canadian living in an apartment building. I truly admire the young off-gridders and how I wish I could follow their lead, but IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN! Can you help us seniors or ARE WE DOOMED???!!!
You can still stockpile some non perishable food and common first aid materials. I have my first aid books from doing the courses during my working career.
@hhealy7199 I plan on moving to an apt with a deck or balcony and plan to get a gas bbq. A few tanks of propane for cooking outdoors. A large pantry to stock up on canned and dry goods. I've always had basic first aid stuff. But a good flashlight and a battery-operated radio are on my list of purchases. Extra blankets too. I think a little butane heating element for soup etc with extra butane cannisters. Finally, those LED lights that recharge with sunlight. I think I should be okay...
Better get something older than 2005 there Alex. Mostb1991 thru 2002 vehicles would have limited problems, after 2002 major problems that could be dealt with if you have the savvy. 2003 to about 2011 even bigger problems which might be solved with a bit more savvy but having a good chance of being reduced to a mobile planting pot. After that, definitely a boat anchor..., around 1978 to 85ish your be in fairly good shape..., now before 76 👍🏻would be a good choice. Even better would be a manual injection diesel of mid 80s and older vintage. Anyhoo, good talk, people need to hear this message..., G'day😎
I'm a bit confused - what's the point of protecting your devices for e.g. from an EMP strike if there's no electricity available or WiFi anyway - all you can use it for would be the most basic offline functions surely - so of little value? Plus if you get a Faraday protector for your laptop - you can't use the latter while in it, so if you take it out to use it & then there's a strike - it's still toast - so pointless. What am I missing?
Walkie-talkies or other handheld radios and ham radios will still be operational without electricity. If you have solar power or a solar back up power bank for your computer, you would still be able to access information on there.
@@beckykurtz7129 How would you connect a computer (with a 3-pin plug) to a solar back up power bank? Only ones I can find (UK) all only use USB connections :(
An ideal time I find to buy extra is when things are on special, that is when I buy two as I am getting the second article for nothing so to speak. I have stacks of toilet paper as I use it sparingly anyway, but I also buy it when on special & put it away for the next plandemic!! 🤣 Living in Australia, we are not allowed to own a gun, so it looks like using a knife or a shovel to protect oneself. In my own case I have a very heavy torch that my son gave me many years ago with a long handle that is full of dead batteries in my wardrobe next to my bed - just in case! NZ is going to explode or go under when the end times come & seeing it isn't a large island, I don't think it is a smart place to live but we don't want them in Australia either!! So I find it very amusing hearing that all those guys are buying up land in NZ. Actually, I have even thought that having a good quality tent of a decent size might also be needed & camping gear for the future when we might have to go bush for preservation. They can be stored above the rafter's of the garage just as my parent's stored ours when I was a child of the 1950s & every summer we went camping for three weeks at the beach. They were the good old days!! 🤣 We especially need our bibles as books because online they are being changed & twisted. So definitely, Christian bible study materials & your copy of Pilgrim's Progress & other good novels etc. like CS Lewis books... Good show!!
I'd love to have an old car with no computer. However, there won't be any way to fuel it if there's an EMP since all gas stations use computers to run their pumps now. We'd have to go back to actual pumps. How long would that take? And once the tanks were empty at the gas stations, how long before they'd get refilled, since we'd have to have old school fuel tanker trucks to transport the fuel. And of course, where they fill those trucks would have to get up and running. Continuing with the line of thought, some armed citizens would start killing each other over all those assets, so the non-violent people would be the first to die for lack of them. I think down these rabbit holes all the time. As for getting the grid back up and running, we also have to project that at least half the population will die within the first five years, and the simple manpower to get the grid back up just won't be there. Horses and cattle will have more jobs to do, once again. Fires will destroy many towns because there won't be any kind of fire departments and cold people who never had to use fire to heat their homes will burn them down, or their neighbors will start a fire that burns down the neighborhood. That would actually happen where I live right now if we didn't have a good fire department. Also, paychecks. No one is going to get paid. Banks won't get back up and running for a long time. Money will be useless. Once again, the violent will simply take whatever they want by force at the expense of the non-violent. I don't know if there's enough backup and redundancy to handle the extremity of the situation. Things are just going to fail badly. Self-sufficiency has many more layers than most people think.
A friend has a wood oven in case power goes down, I mentioned that hungry people are going to know immediately who has food supply. Safety is a huge consideration when prepping.
Yes Ive thought about this. Where would they get the parts to bring the grid back up if the manufacturing plants the make the parts are fried and dont have power to run anyway? Who knows how to build wagons, harnesses etc just using a fire like the old blacksmiths, carpenters, etc? We wouldn’t be sent back to the “cozy” 1800s, it would be like the most barbaric violent stone age, we would have to step by step regain the skills to build back to even the 1700-1800s level of technology.

Time for men of faith to rise and shine in prayer... REMEMBER !!! Genesis 50:20 20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

Revelation 6:5-6 (LEB): And when he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, “Come!” And I looked, and behold, a black horse, and the one seated on it had a balance scale in his hand. And I heard something like a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not damage the olive oil and the wine!”
25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Mathew 6:25-34

STOCK ROTATION IS IMPERATIVE! This past year I had to throw out about $200 worth of food because my wife never used the older food and replaced it with the newer stuff.
