In the May updates I was tempted to do this. Happily though I waited - probably about 90 minutes on two of our PC's - and one is very pokey - and eventually it started going up through the percentages. I know from experience that powering off during this is generally a bad idea, so don't do this unless you've been stalled for maybe 5 hours.
