From the Qld coast, to old smoke and the Singapore straits, being on a reef, and now with Nanji 2, what a journey. Congratulations to you both, and thanks for allowing us to be on board for the journey.
Your Daughter will go on to do amazing things. I had a friend named Craig who grew up on sail boat. This was late 70's. He was so far advanced from us peers from his experiences. His Father wrote a book about their adventures . It was good.
God bless Nandji 2 and its crew. Bonita, Talulah and Yosh we adore, respect and hope the best for you as you have blessed us with your unrelenting spirit . Our family has said, of all the sailing people, our favorite is your family. God bless and safe journeys. We home schooled both of our kids. All of their peers respect, cherish and desire deep friendship. They have no issues with developing relationships because they know NO stranger.Talulah will be the same. Her life experience will be one if fulfilling your dreams, conquering fears, accepting everyone and do things yourself. God bless, we look forward to all your journeys ahead.
Oh Wow Wow Nandji looks Beautiful and is Ready to see the world and whatever Nature presents!! All your hard work did not go unnoticed.....Long hours, problem solving, blood sweat and tears...All Behind You now....Ready for Action now!! And it couldn't be a better start than with Tallulah and Dad doing the Pirate send off!! We Love your Family!! Fair winds and calm seas!!❤❤❤❤
Really first class upgrade to that standing rigging! I'll bet Bonita is as excited about the washing machine install as all the rest! Good job to you all on this yard period for all the upgrades. Safer, stronger and more beautiful yacht! The Nandji way!👍😊❤️
So happy you guys did these upgrades before your crossing!! Now I can watch and not worry about the sea worthiness of your vessel!! Plus she looks great too 😂🤗💞
I love the Happiness in you all Gosh, Although it has been a while since I've watched your channel,I've been watching your channel since your 4th episode & I don't even sail. Heck, the open Ocean scares me. Your transformation has been incredible. May you all continue to have safe sails and the time of your life.
With everything you learned about the status of your old rig I'm Really Glad you replaced everything. The old was probably ok for coastal sailing or tooling around Indonesian islands. Not for crossing powerful oceans.
Wow kids. What a huge upgrade in your rigging! I hope you were given some monetary relief from the rigging company for all of your positive feedback. I5 must have cost a ton!
You already have the counterpoise and the SSB HF radio, if the antenna is the only reason you are bailing on the radio, may I suggest the Gam/McKim split lead antenna. No insulators required, it snaps onto a backstay or shroud and has a lead that attaches to the tuner. Not cheap, $450.00 US, but you may find you enjoy keeping in contact with other boats and , who knows, you may hear a mayday from someone that couldn't email you on the starlink.
I'm not a sailor but have been watching you guys from South Africa since before Lula was born :) I'm so excited to follow your journey through our oceans :)
I don't even own a boat, but I feel the need to purchase some of that awesome Hamma Pro ... it is so pretty! With the new rigging and the beautiful renewed deck, Nandji II is an absolute stunner! I'm so happy for you guys!
Well done guys. Great job. Are you going to be taking crew with you across the Indian? You were before. Now you have a very young lula, you really need someone to give you a hand looking after her, because all the other channels that went across there have had to contend with some huge seas at different times. Mind you, Sailing Nahoa did it recently with a broken catamaran and a couple of rug rats. They were bloody game if you ask me. Anyway, great video and well done. Cannot wait to see the journey.
Hello Legends!!! That new rigging by Hamma sure is sexy. I feel it Yosh! Nandji Two is looking amazing and will take good care of you as you head towards the Indian Ocean. Tully Bug is so cute. She is going to be an amazing sailor some day. Thanks for sharing. Yew!
All that shiny bling! She looks sharp! I want to be sure I understood you correctly, the new Hamma Pro wire is stronger, lighter, and has less stretch than the old rigging! 😎😂😂😂
Bringing sexy back😂❤ Perfect example of getting expert products for safety and use. Smartest water couple to follow and admire❤❤ I'm tickled Bonita is getting a washing machine! The Tallulah coin drop segment was beautiful! Memories being made❤
Great job....she looks new.... Just a , tip... Buy extra rolls, of stainless steel wire. More, hose clamps... Double up, all your hose clamps. I saw, a few cotter pins, all new... With a weak bend... Rule of thumb, use, stainless wire,.. go round, the cotter pin head...not the legs, like a fly fishing, lure.. round, two times, with needle nose,. Pull the head, slightly, into the, pin.. then, on the outside, of the cotter pin hole...bring, the stainless, wire , down and go, around the cotter pin legs...not, where there bent... But right where the pin comes out the pin hole.. It, will stop....all shaking, bouncing, it will, keep the cotter pin.... 😁 Happy... That's a joke... But, do double up, all hose clamps... Lock in the cotter pins. Also... Before, you leave...with a bright,...color...paint marker.... Go..mark.... (((All.... Bolts,. All motor mounts, all thru holes... ))), mark..them all with a line, from the bolt..to the hull, or what ever... And make...a map...drawing.. You MUST...MAKE, A DAILY CHECK LIST. A WEEKLY CHECK LIST.. AND A TEMP, LIST OF THE MOTOR. AND GEN SET... THE SOONER...YOU KNOW A BOLT IS BACKING OFF...THE QUICKER, THE FIX... BUY,...A HAND HELD.... TEMP GUN... DAILY,..CHECK, GEN SET TEMP...WRITE IT DOWN. KEEP A LOG... KEEP A MOTOR TEMP LOG...EVEN WHEN THE MOTORS NOT ON... GOOD LUCK.... IN 20 YEARS....YOUR DAUGHTERS....GOING TO BE....( A CAPTAIN RON, IN THE DISNEY MOVIE.HAHA, ) OR, SHE BE CAPTAIN OF A SUPER YACHT...MAKING A MILLION A YEAR....).
Hello. Thanks for your Video of re-masting I’m not a sailing person but I sensible learnt a lot from your explaining everything. Thanks. I do have a question: I think that the main deck is now or when sailing that it will be under strain. How do you know that the main deck to cables are capable of taking the strain
Nice staino porn Yosh. From someone with interests in fast cars, homebrewing, boats and a former high performance exhaust fitter, I absolutely appreciated it. cheers.
If you do some research into sailboat rigging, you will quickly learn of Hamma! We wanted the best possible option for our own piece of mind at sea. It was a no brainer for us 👌
That's some beautiful hardware. One funny little thing....earth can't be a globe...the surface of water defines level...always. Yeah I know....crazy stuff. That and we see way too far....from 8 ft elevation above the water the "horizon" should be at ~ 3.5 miles and should hide a 1400 ft island at 50 miles. Does it? Sure...things will get hidden at the lower elevations due to local seas n waves...perspective (limit of eyesight angular resolution...vanishing point) and light refraction like inferior mirage. Gets worse when observing closer to the surface. So...there your go....some fun facts to keep in mind on your journey. Cheers y'all.
Hammer Pro warranty is terminated in Australia due it's a high rust area, as shown by your video.... next project, a new a/c system....otherwise, you have a great time....thanks for allowing me to enjoy your videos since the toothpaste hair and caravan
