Mail contents You have already put cut-off marks as 65% for SCs and 75% for OCs, etc, in 10+2 examination. and another condition is put by you on the marks obtained in JEE-advance that subject wise percentage and aggregate percentage which is varying year to year, which is a big confusion and keeping seats vacant even though candidates are available in excess. Keeping some candidates in preparatory courses to be filled up against said vacant seats in the next academic year. This preparatory course is conducted at designated IITs and the condition is that students have to pass the examination conducted by the said IIT at the end of the course, otherwise they will not be accommodated in the next academic year. This is spoiling the future of the candidates if not selected and also wasting one year , if selected. This jee examination is for short listing candidates w.r.t to available seats as the number candidates taking the examination is in terms of lakhs as it is not possible to do manually. you are not supposed to put another condition and waste the candidate's future. even negative marks also to be ranked and all available seats to be filled up in that particular academic year. If no one qualifies for years , how long will you keep such seats vacant? This only one day exam and there is a lot of pressure on the candidates to take exam in all subjects at a time. Actually / legal allocation should be based on the marks of 10+2 only . Entrance is to facilitate to reduced our work in short listing the candidates We in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states take entrance rank for shorting listing candidates w.r.t available seats and allot seats as per rank since entrance system is introduced in 1982. Please remove the condition which is constitutionally not valid

preparation course is un-constitutional. vacant seat should be filled up in the particular years only. already one cut off is put that is percentage of marks 75 and 65. how can they put another cut off and spoil one year of students. if any one not jpoining, left over seat is to be alloted as per the ranks. even nagetive rank also should be considered. . it should be challenge in court.
