I have used a spokeshave for this. They work great. I tried to limit the specialized tools. Then of course we went and used that Kutzall rasp.

I was thinking the same thing and as an alternate perhaps a scraper with a custom shape.

The best trick I know for spoke shaves is to set one side deeper than the other such that you can vary your cut as needed simply by shifting the tool laterally. But I've never used them on fiberglass or epoxy.

@@wadepatton2433 I agree, the ability to adjust your cut in real time can be great.

Another type of sanding block we use in stock making is a pink eraser with the sand paper wrapped around it. Its is stiff and flexable at the same time and you can ususally get it pin pointed to the location in need.

I think that one is the coarse. I have a fine one also.
