Building your food stockpile is essential in a SHTF situation, especially with a large family. We have been using Azure Standard to bulk buy all the things our family needs.
Check out what we added to our prepper pantry, how we use a lot of the food for clean, simple eating, and some tips I share for prepping and food storage for a large family.

Put bay leaves in your pantry and around and change them out about every 6 mts. It has worked great for me. I put it in my flour,corn meal oats etc.

A great item to buy for your kitchen is an electric tea kettle. (Seriously it will boil water in under a minute.) Add frozen vegetables to the pan and then add boiling water to the pan and cook to desired consistancy. It will literally speed up your cooking time.

Foodsaver Bags work awesome! I put 2 cups in each bag and throw them in the freezer for easy meal making.

Put your dry goods in the freezer for 3 days it will kill all the bug larva. Beans, popcorn, flour , nuts etc

I placed a very large azure order also, but mine comes in January in SC. I hope my apples and pears are as pretty as yours.

I hope you get a good batch! What all did you get? Our apples have some holes but we carve them out. They look more like the things we grow in the garden, ie not grocery store perfect, so the kids don’t mind! Thanks for watching, we appreciate it.

I had mice problems as well. I started storing everything in canning jars and no longer lose my food products to mice.

From what I found out moths were in the grains we had and they’re super hard to get rid of. I had to throw a lot out. And then we moved. But the research I did before we moved, they like to live and lay eggs in carpet so you want to vacuum a lot while you’re trying to get rid of them and then freeze all grains when 6pi bring them in to try to kill anything that’s in them

I had pantry moths a few years ago. I took everything out and scrubbed my pantry ( there was a lot of larva) . Then I put several moth traps and I got rid of them all. Now I’m careful to store all rice and flours etc in containers. I never open a new bag while standing in my pantry either. It was a bag of rice that I opened while standing in my pantry that set off the whole ordeal.
