I remember being asked if I was going to send my son to preschool at 3, I said NO, he’s three. He’s very happy at home. He had lots of friends. Once he was into school, my house was the place to go, because I knew where my son was. And I baked something everyday ( just about ) for after school snack. I felt like preschool is a babysitting service. Sydney is way to smart for her age. We played puzzles a lot. Great ideas. Love you guys💕🇨🇦🎀👏

I love these kinds of videos! I do a lot of these on my channel with my 4-year-old and my 1-year-old likes joining in lol I went to school for early childhood, so I made a bunch of activities for a class that I am now using with my kids. Have you ever heard of the plastic crockpot bags? Their crockpot safe and it's a liner that you put in the crockpot before you dump everything in. Makes it easier to clean when you're done...basically a wipe down!

Here in wales (uk) they are in full time school at 3, I wish it was later because I know I’m going to be lost without him being by my side anymore. Sydney will be just fine in school, you’ve always done so well at getting the balance between fun and learning just right.

Aww our daughters are about the same age, and I do a lot of these same activities with her 💚 you should also try getting her some cute colorful buttons, and having her sort them by shape or color. That's one of my daughter's favorite things to do. It's amazing how quickly their little brains pick up on things 😊

I do a lot of learning activities with my toddler at home too. I like the apple matching game! I love using my crockpot to make dinner it's so easy. I'm going to have to try adding pasta sauce over chicken tenders.

I take my daughter who is almost 2 to a program called strongstart. It's completely free and run through the school district. Usually in a elementary school. It gets them used to school routine, having gym time, snack, work play activities (letters/ colors/reading/ singing etc )plus you stay there with them so they get comfortable and know all the kids before entering kindergarten. Plus I also have an only child so the social aspect is amazing. I live in BC Canada not sure if you guys have a program like that but its ages 0-5 (kids in kindergarten can still go) and its 4 hours a day. Plus moms get to meet other mamas. U should see if they have something like that.

That is just a good idea. Your daughter can sit down a lot longer then mine can though. My daughter is 2 1/2 and she can not sit still unless she's eating

I think preschool is generally private and not through the public school system. Our public schools here in Florida don't start school until 4ish either.

We never went to school until kindergarten. But we had siblings and loads of neighborhood children and Sunday School, so were not missing the socialization with peers aspect of it. Daycare is really a necessity for working parents who must work outside the home. Preschool is important for those who have not prepared their child at all for kindergarten, so that they have few problem-solving skills and have learned more like a wildflower grows in a field than a cultivated plant with prepared soil. You do not face any of those circumstances. The only issue would be if Sydney becomes bored and then you might want to consider a year of Montessori or some other method that uses a lot of hands on learning through activities that produce something daily, like a peach pie or a trinket tray or a wall sampler, so that she will be in a different environment with different teachers and children to keep her stimulated by all those differences. Babies and children are supposed to learn through play and adults do much better when they do so, as well. Canadian Thanksgiving is Monday, October 14th, so it is only a month away - go for the turkey. Great activities. It is terrific that you let us know how Sydney responded to them off-camera, like that she went back to the tree several more times during the day. It is so true that they never cost less money. Once you are done with all the baby accoutrements, you start with school supplies and scouting and sports. It's equally true of they never require less time, just that you are with them differently. So once you are no longer changing diapers or breast-feeding, then you begin more play dates and external birthday parties and trips and preparing for learning at home. She will get the clothespin shortly and before she goes to school will be using chopsticks. What a good sign that she did so well at her friend's home for the day. Kids go through phases and they can always get sick or something, but it bodes well for future pajama parties and overnight summer camps et al. Thank you.

This is going to sound so stuck up it’s not I promise I’m not one of those moms! But I’ve been to my fair few of speech and language classes and different classes to help babies learn and something that really stuck out to me was to not say no when they get something wrong let’s say I ask my son a colour and he says “blue “ I’ll say “yeah it’s red yayyyy” 😂 since Sydney’s a bit older you could say “oh wow it’s red!!” It seems to have helped my son lots and lots and I say no enough so anything to lessen the amount of times I have to say it helps also 🤣🤣 it’s the one trick where I’ve actually seen a difference in how fast he learns !

From another mom who is paying the price, try to keep her from "w" sitting. My 7 year old did it for years (because we didn't know better) and it can cause all kinds of issues. His toes now turn in, despite a year of physical therapy. My toddler who is 3 months younger that S does it and we have to remind him to fix his legs.
