Thanks for discussing a topic that affects so many of us. I tried the cheap stick-on "cheaters" first without success. IMHO, don't waste your money. That said, I went the expensive route; first going for an eye exam to be sure my prescription was current. My local dive store highly recommended an outfit in California (could have been the same that you mentioned). As long as my mask was on a list from which they had done previous jobs, they ground lenses to my prescription and mailed them back to the shop without the need for shipping my mask back and forth. My mask, a ScubaPro Zoom, has interchangeable lenses so they used a compatible lens and the local shop swapped them out on arrival. No need to bond the new lenses to the original. I never knew what I was missing !!!
I’m myopic and my prescription changes every year or so . Price point is high for annual replacement for me tbh . Would love a cheaper alternative. I currently use contacts on my dives.
