I saw this in person. Its awesome. The scale of this thing just isnt captured by the images used but im not sure it could be. But... did he say the CRTs are turned on and off? Does that mean someone at the museum has to come in, in the morning and turn on every TV on that display? Oh no..

Ohmigoooosh, look how *CUTE* Dan is! Who doesn't love a mess of curls? And don't get me started on that smile.. 🥰 1. Emperor Bae-drian 2. Mahunny Nagy 3. Dan 🤣❤ Anyway, this piece is almost as dazzling as Dan, lol. Definitely the first of its kind. I look forward to seeing more examples of time-based media and the talk about conservation made me wonder if there are artists who create their pieces with a kind of living will for if / how they're preserved.

There are many versions, and yes one that is quite close, but his point is not about those, it is that there is one painting that is broadly consider original.
