My son was 31 when he died. The toxicology report showed there was a small amount of fentanyl in the drug he was taking. It is absolutely the hardest thing to lose a child and my heart goes out to all parents who find themselves in this situation.

I love this we need this man back in office!!!! My older brother is only 21 was a division 1 athlete coming out of high school with over 25 offers and his senior year he broke all the ligaments in his ankle before the big hometown rival game and this girl came up to him and told him that if he takes this "perc" it will allow him to play in the game. My brother was the type of guy to never let his teammates down and that's exactly why he wanted to play that night for his brothers, so he ended up taking it and gave his heart out that night and never touched that stuff again. Until a few months later he was caught in a situation again with a bad group of people and took it once more and from then and so on it quickly took him. he has lost everything he was committed to play at USC and then transferred to the University of Washington but could never stick with it because he became addicted to the pills. He has been in and out of rehabs in The United States and since he was just over 18 when he got addicted, they were not allowed to keep him in there so he would just walk out, and to be honest all these American rehabs are greedy for your money and that's it end of story! Eventually when he turned 20, we were able to get him down into Mexico in a rehab facility. It was the best decision ever because there if you have 2 blood relatives sign off on a paper, they can keep them in there. So he was down there for 9 months made major improvements and when we got him out he tried to play football again so he reached out to Florida and Florida state and they wanted him in a heartbeat this gave my brother so much joy and happiness since football means so much to him however he wasn't able to get into Florida, "that was the school he chose" because of his previous grades up at Washington he failed all the classes during COVID and you would think they would drop those grades since COVID and how all the players had to do online school because they couldn't get up there. But no they didn't drop his grades so this prohibited him from getting accepted into Florida this was going on late in the summer and by that time he didn't have enough time to sign up to a community college to make those grades up and get on the field this left him with a lot of free time and things to do on his own and THAT is the worst thing for a addict is free time Recovering addicts need a tight schedule to keep their mind going!! so doubt and depression kicked in and he just gave up and decided to take the drug again and therefore he overdosed on fentanyl. Bottom Line is i hope this story can get to people because we need to stand up for our community and take action on these fucking no good worthless Drug Gangs, they are destroying lives and families!

It's unfortunate that many lives are lost and yes I agree with you many rehabs don't care and don't actully put the time to care for these addics individully to help them to quit and move on with their lives, but I promise you as a woman of God I work with clients one by one its a smaller facility so we try many other methods that not are used typically like spiritual therapy bringing them close to God finding their true self , purpose, their hobbies , creativity and what they truly love to do and I can assure you many have been saved and got on with their lives, but since there's so much of that killer drug all around and so cheap used by so many younger kids these days All I can say it's truly hard to stay clean even after a lot of hard work so this drug needs to stopped to enter US to save our young generation. I had a very close family member die of a fentanyl overdose a few months ago it was very hard on my family, and to see that nothing is being done about the border crisis right now is very disheartening I also have to work multiple jobs to get by since 2021 and keeping up with the crazy inflation almost forced me to sign into a homeless shelter....I don't know why we as American people can not come together and see the sheer corruption that occurs in our government and the political leaders overseeing it!
