I always prays for Zaytuna, its been my life dream to studied there, and studies under syekh Hamza teaching, but i lived in another country wich is so far away from there, you can tell because my english is not good, haha. Untill this day i find very difficult to find a school that close , if not similiar, to Zaytuna in my place. But im grateful this channel is exist, so i still have an access to drink in this ocean of knowledge, i hope this channel keep providing the lecture of the great teachers of Zaytuna. You guys are so blessed to have Zaytuna College, trust me its so great blessing from Allah. May Allah blessed Zaytuna, make it grow, accomplished any plan you have. Aameen.

Asalamu alaikum warahmatoulahi wabarakatuhu Sheikh. I first ask Allah to grant you longer life, good health and accept and multiply your good deeds. Sheikh, I am from the Gambia and in this part of Africa, we follow the Maliki madhab. I know you sre very familiar africa and have lived here so i couldn't think of a better Sheikh to ask my question. I wanted to know if its permissible to wear taweez with ONLY Qur'anic verses written on them. I have searched all over the internet for any lectures you may have done on this but could not find anything. May Allah reward and accept from you. Jazakallahu khairaan

I read the ehya alulum Ghazali, and with all respect to him I saw some concepts in this book that I can't accept as Muslim I know this book is one of the primary references of ERFAN traditions, but it has several verses and concepts that are clearly against Quran and even SUNNAH OF RASUL AKRAM and four KHALIFAS after him and AHLEBEYT, and also are against the true and SAHIH HADITHS, for now, I just say the general topics of issues, and in my next comment I will bring up to you the details with the reasons. for example, Ghazali used many of ISRAEILIAT near 70 places in his book that did not exist in HADITH and was entered by Jewish, and for another example, he chooses the Jewish way of some content instead of the Islamic aspect of it . for example, he chooses some specific Torah statement although there is exactly the opposite meaning of it mentioned in the holy Quran. the next point is there are several hadith in his book that just Ghazali told in his book and there aren't in any other hadith books. in several cases, he told hadith from just one or two specific RAVI that all FOGHAHA OF SUNNI knows them as liars, fakers, sinners, and untrustable men for telling hadith like one of the most famous of them the person who calls SOLLAMI. I will try to bring up some questions in near future to show us what is wrong with the opinions of suffi and ORAFA?

This is very difficult to listen to and also and more importantly, in first 15 minutes of the video it says nothing of substance that could draw anyone not already part of the religion.

I Disagree that to understand Kuran we need commentator. However, i recommend to read Kuran in the order of Nuzhul that means starting with the first ayah READ , by the last sura, Naser;

Then he carefully tries to connect the dots between them, i.e., gives the "big picture" ★ His ability to present with ease the complexities of the subject areas. ★ His eloquent use of the English language ★ The soothing and softness in his voice and smile, as opposed to a sermon delivered in Khutbah and on numerous Video Channels ★ His motivational skill is a class above the rest. I'm also amazed at the disparity of subscribers and the number of video views, between the lectures of Shaykh Yusuf and Mufti Menk. 112K vs. 2.45M - an astonishing 1:22 Mathematical Ratio. The above is by no means trying to discredit anyone since that would be arrogance, would cause of sin-able Fitna, of arguable an extremely high degree, apart of being way above my pay-scale, since it is only He that is The Judge! It shouldn't be one or the other, preferably both. It also shouldn't be about quantity, but rather quality. These are two platforms for different reasons or purposes that they serve. What can one read into the above Statistic mean? I wouldn't mind a take on this, please? Allahu A'alam

By mastering the Qur'anic maqasid will be able to harmonize between the core mission of the Qur'an with the basic principles of life. what the method of Muhammad Al-Ghazali to uncover the Qur'an's maqashid, including the pre-research that was undertaken before formulating the method of the Qur'an's maqashid. The al-Ghaza>li> finding offered five methods to be able to reveal the Qur'anic maqashid. First, deep reflection on the Qur'anic texts and optimizing reason. Second, the use of two mechanisms at once, namely inductive thinking and analysis, and tracking various texts and signs that indicate the existence of maqashid. Third, a thorough reading of the revelation texts so that they are holistic, not literal and sectarian. Just started listening, love Imam Al-Ghazali , didn’t know he was Iranian/Afghan descent. At min 844, they cut off (for one second) HY explanation, did anyone catch what he was saying? Was the cut off done on purpose?

Assalamualaikum. Would just like to share that I came here after a month or so questioning who I am and what I'm here for. I'm a Mother and a wife and discovering who I truly am as I belief I have more to offer. In the midst of reading other books my husband suggested I do tafsir of the most important book Al Quran. Because I've always liked Sy Hamza Yusuf's lectures, I found Imam Ghazali. And I googled Imam Ghazali's books and there are many that called to me to read them too. SubhanAllah. Allah's Timing and His Plans are perfect.

The entire lecture is on Imam Ghazali than on the book! I love all the series of Sheikh Hamza Yusuf, especially the long series - but this is was not what i expected, i expected an introduction of the author and then getting into the book. There should have been a separate course on the author, than merging his entire biography into this series. I loved the end though, as usual excellent conclusion!

I wish the Zaytuna degree could be offered online for us ex US based devotees

Thanks for many informations, imam ghazali is a jawhar a gem and a big sunshine, but ibn taymiyya is absolutely not. I think you need to know his kufriyat against ahlussunnah. sheikh why after supported from uae you began to praise ibn taymiyyah?really it makes me sad. Pls inform yourself better about him.
