We have an extremely weak legal system in Zambia that is totally incompetent and lack credibility. How can we have "Justice" when the sitting Judges were appointed by the Republican President who is the head (Boss) of his Party UPND and his members (ministers and others)? In all honesty, how can his subordinates (Judges or law bearers) investigate his members (ministers and others) without his (president) go ahead? We need to have an independent committee within the Judiciary comprising of competent and honest law bearers to be nominating and appointing Judges to be presiding over the cases.
@@rootsdubzwhich freedom? This guy is in SA speaking online. He has been repeatedly been threatened with government sending their investigators to his village to ask about his roots.
Yes but if you give a politician or political analyst to respond they will spend 10 minutes because they want there point driven, he was taking way too long to finish his answers , otherwise he’s a good analyst and I wish he had more time
Indeed the set up of the Constitutional Court being a final Court of appeal and being on par with the Supreme Court...(meaning there is no recourse to the Supreme Court) . It is a misnomer it needs correcting ....and curtails the journey towards justice with effective checks and balances.
In all honest I totally "Do Not" Agree with the clauses that permit the President to appoint Commissioners in the Anti Corruption Commission. All the appointees represent the interest of the current party in GVT. Please Anti Corruption Commission is a Sensitive Institution which totally need to be independent. We need serious, honest and competent law bearers not the "Theoretical" individuals that lack credibility and innocence. In my opinion, we are where we are because our leaders i.e Directors, Law bearers, Managers etc have a "Rich" experience in incompetence, dishonest, corruption etc. Most of them get promoted because "Hypocrisy" serve them well. I desire for a free corrupt, incompetent or hypocrisy Zambia.
its more that clear that the board was conflicted and totally comprised but what we need to do as a nation is to form an independent institution with much more biting power and the officials must not be answerable to the president but to the whole cabinet
Well, he spoke so well, however time and regimes has proven that democracy can't be practiced fully on the African content, even him if he got that opportunity, there are a lot of areas he would ignore and leave them the way he found so as to safeguard himself. Lastly, I don't agree that the incumbent was just voted in for the sake of change, I think voters saw him as the only hope at that particular time. If Sishuwa was given a position in this government, would he continue being this consistency???
I don’t agree HH is trying his best This is not a battle for the president but for you and me and all leaders who are in charge of govt resources This has been going on for decades It did not start in HH’s error It will take you and me to work and stop it Systems are destroyed and people don’t care May God help this Christian nation
Shishuwa arguments are misplaced....HH declared his assets and liabilities 6 times before and this information was made public by ECZ. However in 2021 , the ECZ refused to publish the asset declarations because the law did not require them to do so. WHY ? WHO CHANGED THE LAW? WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE PREVIOUS LEGAL REQUIREMENT? That's what needs to be interrogated. Otherwise HH has the right not to publicly declare his assets and liabilities.
By the way, a honest and morally upright person will just public declare his assets for the public to gain confidence in him. Do you know how much is weathy now or you are defending because you are UPND? Let's put our country first and our leaders accountable. With or without the law to compel someone to declare his assets he should have done so for the sake of peace and the public kwasila
@@bernardzulu5295 HH's wealth has nothing to do with peace in Zambia. PF's dream of civil strife in Zambia will not happen. The UPND can see through PF's hopeless political schemes. HH already knows how much ECL declared to ECZ in 2021. He will only declare his assets publicly if other 2021 presidential candidates including ECL are made to do so. SIMPLE
You are forgetting HH was voted in to bring transparency and proper governance as promised. If he promised to do exactly what PF did he’d not be president now.
@@joneschilufya867 HH should only accept to have his asset declaration made public if a bill is passed which restores the article which was removed in 2016 and it must apply retrospectively or back dated to the 2021 election asset declarations
@@johnchansa yes. HH was the messiah we all were waiting for, promised us a utopian country so this comparisons with PF everytime we demand him to do what he promised he wud do is unwarranted.
I don't have to watch the whole interview to tell that this phrase title is wrong. HH has demonstrated political will but a president doesn't rule in isolation. If he's sorrounded by politically unwilling people benefiting corruption with evidence of course then it may seem that he's not having political will. So far, he has tried and we need to appreciate. If this was PF in government, you also know that it would have been worse.

He is a disciple of nobody. He is just a genius with the ability to articulate issues. He did so when PF was in power. I don't see anything personal here. He is someone with integrity.
@@davidphiri2442that's what checks and balances should be like. Not Checks and balances that are culminated with bad Fallacies towards certain individuals or group of individuals.

In all honest Sir, what are the major causes of the challenges in our country? And what do you think are some of the immediate solutions to the challenges? Let's not just be praising everything even when there is no disposition of good governance, accountability and transparency.
On the argument around regionalism in recruitment this man has distorted facts. If anything things a much more balanced now. Look at Youth and Sport / the mp and two ps’ are Bemba and no one is complaining about that so why are people catching feelings whenever a Tonga gets a job or promotion.
@@bernardzulu5295 for the first time in a long time people are actually getting employment because they qualify. And if it’s discovered that someone doesn’t they are dismissed.
He’s actually right on that too. There has been a disproportionate increase in one region dominating promotions and employment. I understand if it’s about equity but if it’s equality then Sishuwa is right about his assessments.
@@joneschilufya867 okay does that mean that people from these so called regions shouldn’t be promoted if they deserve it because it will be seen as favouring them over others?
