President Obama leaves office in one week. For his final network TV interview as commander-in-chief, Mr. Obama sat down with "60 Minutes" correspondent Steve Kroft and discussed the incoming administration and why he is not underestimating President-elect Donald Trump. I hate to even discuss the fact, but notice there are 200 dislikes on this video, which was a non-partisan interview by Obama giving some thoughtful advice on governance. He made no personal judgements about Trump, and not one part of this video has criticized Trump, but 200 Trump supporters gave this video a "dislike" because they are incapable of considering the issues beyond just assigning a binary "for us" or "against us" to it.

Michael Parker Food For Thought to all the people who said she won the popular vote! Hillary won California 5,860,714 to Trump’s 3,151,821. 61.6% to 33.1% exclusive of the other candidates. But deduct her California vote from her national vote leaving her with 54,978,783, and deduct Trump’s California vote from his national total, leaving him with 57,113.976, he wins in a landslide in the other 49 states, 51.3% to her 48.7%. So, in effect, Hillary was elected president of California and Trump was elected president of the rest of the country by a substantial margin.

Which promises? Building a wall? Barely any got built. Fixing the national debt? He added a lot to it? Fighting the corruption in Washington? He buddied up with Mitch McConnell. Fixing the healthcare system? He did nothing. Trump lied. Am I the only one who likes both Obama and Trump? I believe people underestimate the relationship between Barack Obama and Donald Trump. I'm not saying they are friends but I believe they both have immense respect for one another and I appreciate that. I love the fact that both are "trend setters." Obama being the first African-American President and Trump being the first Non-Political President. They both have paved the way for future American's from different backgrounds to become President of this great nation. I've never been this optimistic about the future of the United States.
