You are very wrong if you think covid is what destroyed our economy. What destroyed our economy is too much borrowing I mean everytime kulikua na shida pesa haitoshi ndio huyo our former president ako sijui china. Do you remember pesa ya SGR how much it has cost our country? Can you remember how much we spent developing the expressway? And many more projects. All those projects zilikua za deni and the loans we took have now matured and now we have to pay that is why the cost of living is up, that is why the Government is taxing everything.

@@jospaxx Being in Govt comes with a position, a title, an office and a Govt budget to keep such an office in operation. Can you state which office Raila was holding in the Uhuruto regime?
I'm just happy that atatukikashifiana we are all Kenyans who love each other....Shida ya Kenya ni tribalism, no meritocracy and corruption hiyo ikishugulikiwa Kenyans will be happy.
@@hkmeme5437 Si mapema. Within 100 days of Kibaki administration, NARC Govt was already delivering on its election manifesto and campaign pledges. With 8 months already gone, Ruto is still adding more pledges onto election pledges with nothing to show for. There is nothing new being demanded of Ruto. He is only being held to account on his election pledges.
Raila hajaonyesha ati amekushinda history; he has shown that he actually tried to help Mukami akiwa hai compared na nyinyi mnakuja kukula mdomo matanga
Let him broaden the tax base by taxing his rich friends and tenderpreneurs ,Let him also deal with the rampant corruption then we can talk.Overtaxing the middle class with the money ending up in the pockets of a few is nonsense.
As the saying goes.. the middle class is the pereniall flat tire of any economic growth. Sad truth😢 Maadamano the middle class umia saana Conora same Currency fluctuation Name it . The game is be rich or be poor
@@jospaxx That was a quote from Uhuru Kenyatta during the 1st term of Uhuruto regime. Stop applying as if it was related to anything during Uhuruto's 2nd term. It was an expression of Uhuruto mentality at at its best.
The burden will be borne, not by Raila, but the likes of you who are blind to the realities of the day and treat every issue as some debating contest between Raila and Ruto. It is you members of the middle class who will experience the most painful pinch. Siasa ni maisha, na inaenda ikiendanga.
Wacha kudanganya serekali iliyopita ilikuwa ya uhuruto mukaiba. badae mukatafuta wakumpaka tope ndio mukaruhusu handshake na raila. (Raila alifanya ujinga) unamtumia Sana raila kuendeleza serekali ileile ya uhuruto.
@@jospaxx unless he does it like Kibaki who used to give awards to Keroche not tax lKibaki had a balance he taxes little and encourages people who were hiding money to being it home in equity bank and invested and all the Kenyans doing big things outside Kenya he told them to come home ,that one of just taxing something that is already been taxed I have seen all the water companies in coast have gone under, not one and a juice company just closed and went to TZ ,picana , some of us are planning on moving out of Kenya because of this nonsense
@@jospaxx not If you are taxing people out of business ,if you are it's useless you will not collect taxes when they increased water taxes on water then the companies went out of business yet it was big business in.the whole coast because the water is not drinkable they stopped collecting any tax zero tax . They increased taxes on beer they collect less they doubled the tax on chocolate people don't eat them so it's all zero not no matter how much you talk about the history of taxes how come the countries doing well have zero tax or low taxes for businesses , plus gross income is not supposed to betaxed in a business or turnover your supposed to tax net income , he is just following the neocolonialism handbook of keeping Africa dependent on foreign goods , foreign money to keep borrowing dollars to import when imports can be reduced actually even eliminated to only things like phones by encouraging low taxes to locals to manufacture clothes, papper , soaps etc
@@janendegwa5462 I get what you're saying but Kenya is deep in debt. We just have to brace for a tough time. Regardless of who won last year, cost of living had to go up. Let's wait and see whether Ruto's plan is the best but whatever is happening had been predicted by finance experts.
Why not seal loopholes for theft, you already have taxes juice and water producing companies out of existence even in counties like Mombasa where they have to drink purified water , even alcohol you are not collecting anything because when you increase taxes illicit brews kick in
@@jospaxx The biggest single debt that Kenya has ever borrowed and whose repayment threatens to cripple Kenya's economy is the SGR debt. That debt was borrowed during Uhuruto's 1st term. ..... only issue is that Bill was an integral part of the Uhuru Kenyatta Administration popularly known as UHURURO. The Handshake never elevated nor made Raila into a constitutional/administrative decision making entity in Government neither did it accord him any powers of decision making or allocation of or incurrence of expenditure. In the principle of Collective Responsibility William Ruto should accordingly be open enough to admit the failures on the part of the Uhuru Kenyatta's Administration he actually having partaken of benefits as the DEPUTY PRESIDENT during its entire constitutional terms!.....On negotiations to finding solutions to our problems we are all in agreement!!!!
You Are Still Living In Denial😂, Which Power Did Ruto Had During 2018_2022? Watu Sii Wajinga Bwana. How Do You Subsidies Consumption, Why Do You Subsidies Production?
rather than mourn the departed, in true form w.s.r could not shy away from politics. unga was at the price that it was when you were deputy(busy attending harambees at the tax payers expense). If that same logic was to be applied in the present riggy is an 'innocent' bystander in kk and should not be apportioned any blame or given any credit for things done by the govt.
It is not a question of kutaka au kutotaka kukopa. There is nothing new that Ruto is being asked to do. It was one of his election pledges that borrowing would stop and he would rely on local revenues through prudent spending. The focus in his election pledges was prudent spending. RAISING taxes was not the focus. He is being held to account on that pledge.
No arrogance, pls remember that currently out of every 100 the government gets 80 is currently paying debts so more taxes are needed, its just the way it is.
I suggest governors, senators and mps to also pay taxes so that we can collect more taxes not only simple civil servants and mama mbogas only. This should be debated
