You want Tinubu to talk, he has spoken without actions to eleviate the sufferings of Nigerians. What I hear is threat, arrogance and pride and not addressing the issues.
My dear President I know you have a good heart, but am writing you this in tears please if you can do just theses two things for us l will be very grateful. 1) Fuel reduction 2) Exchange rate Mr. President these are the key things we need please and I hope you see this message.
Dangote has reviled all the corruption going on in Nigeria to the citizens, Nigeria is a fraud and crime against it citizens, Nigeria needs restructuring to save lives, that's why MNK is fighting for BIAFRA.
@@segunjoeyoloro5599Saying Nothing means Nothing he said translates to reducing the cost of living for the masses. He spoke about governmental decisions and the positive dividends they have yielded thus far but how have those dividends profited the masses
The positive thing is he has said something. But somethings are worrisome. 1. It seems nigerians voted another virtual president. (Same character of buhari, were no one knows if he is alive or dead.) 2. He needs to come live at a media say nta or channels were he could have dialogue with the people who voted him. Different press persons could ask him question and lets hear his response. 3. The summary of this monologue is simply someone pushing his responsibility. (Apportioning blames) 4. This speech has a lot of comma. People are hungry and high living cost. 75% don't understand those figures, but they can relate to what you say when the go to fuel station and see price of fuel 100 naira. They won't need explanation, when they get to their school bursaries they are told their tuition fees is already paid for(but they pay back when they graduate and get employed). that is the imaging. 5. Livelihood support to citizens through governors. But you have everyone's bvn. (This would have been a good opportunity to get everyone into the financial sector {called financial inclusion}. When they hear government is paying livelihood support, with the level of hunger most if not everyone will go fix their bvn. 6. With the fixed bvn (for every one 18 and above), inec can use that to filter their list of none existing voters (this is another issue all together) In summary he never spoke to the people. He spoke to unverifiable figures. This my write up is just me being polite as possible. Please, the content creator should make a video addressing the demands of the protest. He should speak to the demands. Say they ones he can meet, say the ones he can't meet (with reasons), say the omes he can reach (with specific time), say how to know the goals are achieved. E.g fuel price. He is bringing the price to .... On ...(Date).., and reasons if he can't revert it. He should speak to the people. Things like scrapping of 1999 constitution. His simple response could be to channel the protest to the national house (since that is their job).
Mr Tinubu i know you've lived abroad and still in the business of traveling. I live in Switzerland but currently am in Nigeria, from my experience abroad if the Government wants to increase prices of items, is usually 15 to 20% from the old price, for example if a bottle of tomato is selling for $2.10 cent it will slightly increase to $2.40. My question to you is, why is the cost of items increasing ×3 or ×4 in our country? Even with little increment in minimum wage. My advice to you Mr. President and the members of your cabinet should be put the masses whom you're committed to serve first' before any decision. The position you assume is a public office and not a private business
God continue to bless my family ,and all good Nigerians who genuinely speak truth to power regardless of ur tribe .May God continue keep us out from evil people who love propaganda and hate.
This selfish mentality needs to stop, This is the kind of mentality people carry into Govt and they don't know when to stop, they are still only focused on them and their family. Who swear for us like this. May this curse of selfishness be broken over us and our eyes be opened to love one another and wish eachother well. it has to be "God bless us all".
@@Ephod1179BC Imagine how can someone an elder,a leader open his mouth to tell Nigerians u bought ur presidency wen people are dying due to poor medical facilities and hunger . Companies are folding up due to lack of power, insecurity, inflation, high taxes ...May God continue to protect keep us and give us good health, especially those who are not supporting failure, rebel, enthic profiling .Let the poor breathe...
How do you expect something good to come from this man, who snatch, run away with it, reading from a script. Oger all this one na story, bring down fuel price.
I really want a press conference for this man, all this written words he always reads out is nonsense to me. I want president that will take questions from press men/women.
I partially agree with the president. My issue with him is the wastage in government and lack of focus on the projects for providing uninterrupted power supply.
"My impression is that this might be a standard script that we are familiar with. Based on past experiences, it seems like there is a lack of belief in the success of this protest. The analyses provided have not translated into visible results, which leaves the nation wanting. We need a practical approach that will change the living conditions of Nigeria. Thank you, Mr. President, for your due consideration."
Change is very hard. I hope the Tinubu government can make this change a bit more tolerable for our people. It would be a shame if history repeats itself and set Nigeria backwards in time again as it did in 1984/85.
This was not necessary at this time. It will have been better if he had not said anything. What we need is an executive order to push down the cost of PMS, reconcile with independent marketers and push in to the system food supplies such as rice, wheats, beans and other valuable items need for consumption by the common Nigerians at much affordable rates. People are starving and each day Nigerians die due to hunger and starvation. There is now an increase in suicide across the nation, electricity tariff across the nation has been hiked and this is affecting businesses and production thereby increasing inflation across every sector.
He didn't addresses the current situations in this country, people were expecting to opens our land borders, let the country import food to Nigerian, Provide intense security, bring back the oil subsidy and NEPA These are the major aspects that the Mr president supposed to talk about 1, Insecurity 2, Hungry/food insecurity 3,Bad governance 4,Poverty 5, Hardship 6 price control of commudities
To immediately address hunger and high cost of goods and services in Nigeria, our Dear President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, should reconsider the current policy of allowing the naira to float against the dollar and instead fix the exchange rate at a maximum of N600 per USD. The current exchange rate of N1635. 95 per USD grossly undervalues the naira, leading to an unfair depletion of our nation's resources in exchange for minimal dollars. By revising this policy, the President can help alleviate hunger and promote economic justice.
He hasn't started. He MUST the demands of the Nigerian Youths, - fuel price - his overloaded cabinet - electricity tariff - regionalism, - corruption, etc
This is what we want, Mr president, bring down fule price, and fight insecurity for people to go to farms and cultivate croups for hunger to go, food security supposed not to be a problem in Nigeria, if this two key things are tackled The Nigerian government can not me laws to protect human being but they make laws to protect caws. It is this time I know that other farms are there to distrol another farm.
Mr President.. you did not have to wait until lives and properties were lost before addresssing the country so as to make a point out of it.. The energy exercised by you during the election era should as well be demonstrated in turning the country around effortlessly.
Nigerians what did understand here😢this is just a story for the gods this is nt what we expected to hear that could solve the current situation may god see us true
Oga that is the flag of the arm forces of Nigeria and it has always been there since time immemorial. It is to show that the Nigerian president is the leader of the country and the arm forces
These are things we've been hearing since... we're tired Sir! We want prices if Fuel, food to reduce and electricity to be steady for productive business! Fix these and we can now talk of dialoguing otherwise, just step down for a competent person to come on board.
Mr. President.... first of all, thanks for coming out to talk. But this speech given doesn't give solution to what's happening in the country. With all the billions you are releasing into the economy...pls what stops you from reducing fuel price??? What's so special that interests you in petrol? From the money's released into each state by your address, that means even our state governors have serious questions to answer as to what they are using the money for. No matter the money's released into the economy, if the cost of production of goods and services remains high, poverty will never end in this country. Kindly address this matter and you will sleep well.
I don't know why una dey expect something special from the speech. All the speech he has made since ...which one has ever encouraged you. Sha don't be heartbroken when you here "reducing more the purchasing power of the people... Eh ...eh ....eh....
our excellency what we want from you is this let the price of the food come down let the fuel come down let's our road be good we don't care even though we still you still money citizen of the country
Our leaders always find a way to make matter worst for us. Thought this protest is about endbadgovernance" Just tell me one way this press release addresses any of that? I was expecting a kind of immediate solution as regards foodstuffs to calm people down and cutting down on governance cost and unnecessary spending not promises that will never materialize. Any way some of us got what we bargained for. Tinubu to the world
If there is going to be a libration as you speak, Why did they want to stop this protest earlier, Let the leaders learn how to tell us the truth, Because we are not demanding much from them, Reduce fuel, Provide food, Make our life easier for us as yours, Stop tribalism and intimidation of all kinds in this Nigeria
Talks about incentives to Farmers but throughout he never touches on investing in power generation and distribution, and doesn't talk about insecurity (which is the major driving force behind farmers abandoning their fertile lands), doesn't talk about cutting Government expenditure immensly, doesn't talk about how we will stop borrowing foolishly, doesn't talk about how we will stabilise the Naira, doesn't talk about how the legislature is a useless part of the government that does nothing but waste Public funds on a bunch of useless people. It seems he didn't hear the points of the protests well, maybe Nigerians need to scream louder for him to hear. Everything he has said does nothing to aid the actual issues plaguing the country, especially considering all these need to be checked, verified and they need to be managed properly, something the government keeps failing over and over again. Too many people in Government, Too many ministries, stupid spending, Foolishly excessive borrowing, over inflated costs of government projects and activities. These will all continue. We need the strong, capable and intelligent youth (not just any youth) in Government like yesterday. These old men and women aren't ready to help us.
