Yes, we have crummy roads and bridges, and we could create tens of thousands of construction jobs--which can't be outsourced to foreign countries--by improving them. My comment was to highlight the hypocrisy of the Republican Party. In one breath they say they want smaller govt, in the next they talk about expanding the military, the transportation infrastructure, more cops, more prisons, etc., and cutting taxes to boot.
