Shaun Ellis a great friend met him at Christmas. Trump and his wife couldn’t be more friendly, gracious and dignified to my friend. They even FaceTimed his wife who was working abroad. Even offering to retake pictures to ensure that they were right for them. (In a world of spin, you won’t hear a single media reporter ever mention this) (He also Met Obama and the difference was night and day, standoffish, cold and aloof.)

@@dulls8475 Just an observation - the Queen has served, so has her husband, and many of the Royal Family. I'm no great Royalist but you have to give them due credit. Going back a few years the Duke of Kent (the Queen's cousin) was a career officer in an armoured regiment that was about to be posted to the Six Counties on dismounted security role duties. As a result he was obliged to resign his commission, much against his wishes, apparently he was not a happy chappy. Several US Presidents, of both parties, have served - JFK and LBJ were democrats were they not ?

When Britain is engaged in a conflict half of each guards division stays in the UK to guard the Royal palaces while the other half is usually deployed.

@@ThatGuyRBY Usually soldiers fresh out of training are sent to the ceremonial company of each guards regiment (i.e. Nijmegen company of the Grenadier guards) and they protect the royal residences for an allotted time, I think its usually a year.

Great example of Britishness. Pleased to see that Mr Trump had his coat buttoned up this time. Curious that at the end the soldiers were marching by the right rather than the left assuming that the audio was synchronized with the video. An uplifting presentation for our guest and how marvellous to see him take his cue and also take the time to speak to the Queen's soldiers individually. What is not to like about this President.

I think it largely stems from their self-sense of superiority and that they are more valuable and their privileged lifestyle gives them a sense of being immune. One thing about our Royalty they never dismiss putt of hands and have actually served even during wars. This there is mutual respect. When I see and hear Mr Trump I here sincerity and genuine concern which must be a refreshing change to you Americans; for those that recognise it anyhow.
