Hey most games for the console will be dirty cheap. And while the store is being shut down, there are ways to get DLC for some of the top tier games. Slap the games on an external SSD and you'll have a grand time

Awesome video, personally, I think the GameCube should go in to god tier. It was a huge risk taker for Nintendo, especially with having its first game be centered around Luigi and I believe it payed off in the long run since ppl still idolize it to this day. On the hardware side, it was also a mini dynamo, especially with that game boy player that nearly double its library of games to choose from thought the ability to tap into the Gameboys discography of titles.

I agree GameCube for goated, but it wasn’t really that huge of a risk for them which is probably why it didn’t do all that well sales-wise. It was basically the N64 2 which is why PS2 blew it out of the water so easily. Luigi’s Mansion being the first game wasn’t a statement, Sunshine just wasn’t ready (and still wasn’t ready when it dropped in its buggy state). Gameboy support was not a huge draw for casual consumers either, as cool as it was. The GameCube is goated despite its situation, not because of it. It’s library and controller carried.

The controllers are the supreme and the games are great, but the GameCube falls short because it falls between two of the better Nintendo consoles, the N64 and the Wii, with the former bringing 3D games to Nintendo, and the Wii having backwards compatibility for Gamecube games. Again, not a bonus to the GameCube itself, but rather its library.

As an obvious Nintendo fan and never once owned a Xbox system though I’m really intrigued with Xbox’s backwards compatibility. I love the Gamecube though PS2 was better and Gamecube’s controller IMO is the worst one. N64’s was slightly better. They didn’t expand off of Gamecube’s terrible design, every system just came out with a design similar to the SNES or even NES’s design which is GOAT’d. The Nintendo tier list too btw. Though I cranked a lot of hours on my Switch (more than the SNES), SNES is the best Nintendo system of all time. Switch has highs and lows but their controllers breaking, Pokémon glitches or bad quality of life releases, gimmicky motion controls and that cardboard box toy game that had two games are big failures. SNES had so many highs they’re not in the same class. SNES pioneered gaming today. N64 had an easy multiplayer but SNES had that, Gamecube had good visuals but not the strongest library given it’s lifetime, Wii was good on paper but had an lol library, Wii U should’ve been called the Wii L (but I liked it but would not recommend it) and I already explained the Switch. SNES is GOAT. I did own a PS1-3.
