I'd say for this range price of monitors, I'd take this over the krks or m audios. But Adam T5Vs are great if you can afford them!

For me Eris E5s, but it does depend what you want out of them. Krks are a bit more lowend exaggerated for hiphop & edm.

Your best option if your looking for balance sound if your mixing and mastering eris or yahmaha hs but if u working rap music trap you want that boom feel krk

Do you need 1 or 2 subwoofers?

I personally prefer the sound of Yamaha, but these have a pretty good balance response for this price range

HS5s are better, but they are more expensive. If you have money to invest, go with Yamaha. If you are on budget, go with Eris and buy some plugins instead

Check your cutoff setting on the back. But in general there isn't a lot of bass on these. Recommend pairing them with a sub like the Temblor t8

No I agree with that, however, since many people don't have access to studios that have these beginner range monitors, this gives them a perspective even though it's not ideal.

Nope, the 1st Gen. I got these almost 8years ago! Still solid

I'd recommend MOTU M2 for entry level
