Absolutely, I used an Airport Express, hardwired to the 16R and wifi to iOS devices and my laptops. It was really simple to connect and worked perfectly as soon as I set the permissions correctly in the mixer for each device.

DcSoundOp Can you set the permissions in the app? Or do you need a computer to do that first?

That's a good question! I didn't actually try to set it up without a computer at any point, as I connected to it over USB when it first arrived. I'd try posting that question over on the PreSonus StudioLive group on facebook group @ facebook.com/groups/236075319847351/?source_id=44626647633 - there is a good chance someone over there will know the answer, or an employee will see it and let you know.

Hey David, I'm out of the country now so you may get a better answer from PreSonus directly on this by reaching out to them on Facebook or posting this question on the user groups over there too. It's hard to know the issue you're having without knowing how you have it setup, if you're using USB or AVB as the interface and how you've routed things. I would imagine it's a simple fix in the routing between StudioOne, your computer and the interface, but again, not knowing what you've done so far, it's hard to say much more. I'd bet if you post this question, with details about your current configuration to the user groups on Facebook, someone who uses StudioOne will get you fixed up pretty quick. Hey Eve, there absolutely are presets for all sorts of different inputs at the channel level. Thanks for the question!

Each channel has an A and B preset. You can also load presets from different scenes or shows for each channel or for a group of them

Hey Dwarak, the SD options do only show up when an SD card is inserted. Did you use the recommended card formatting utility on your card? If not, here it is www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/index.html If that doesn't sort you out, and assuming your firmware and version of Universal Control are current etc, I would give the guys at PreSonus a call or email. They really are one of the most helpful manufacturers I've ever dealt with, I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to them if you're having trouble.

Yes the formatting finally worked and the options to record on the SD card came up immediately. the SD card has main L/R selected and though recording happens and main L/R is giving the output the track when played back doesn't seem to contain any audio. don't know what im doing wrong.

Dwarak Leelaram Sorry, i should have asked when you last updated your firmware. I got a beta version this week that fixed that bug, they said it was being released shortly, but haven’t checked their site since earlier in the week.

You can input line level signals from other mic-pres by using the TRS inputs to bypass the internal mic pres. What do you mean by 'exclusive interface' for Logic? I'm not familiar with that term, but let me know & I'll try find you an answer. Thanks for the message!

Hi Sudhir, thanks for the message. What questions do you have? I saw that you asked if you can use it as an interface with Cubase, and you absolutely can. Once you have it connected and the drivers installed for your system if needed, it is just like any other USB interface.

I'm pretty sure it"s possible since the computer/tablet are juste controlling the console, but i can't confirm it 100%.

@@sjaelekradser Good to hear ! And if needed, with just the router and smartphones (with the QMix app) you could still control mixes (without needing a tablet or computer (that you will only need to authorize the phones as mix controllers the first time)).

Eh... I go back and forth between the trackpad, a magic mouse and a wacom tablet pretty seamlessly... I also have a logitech trackman that I used to use a ton, but honestly the gesture integration is so good now I hardly ever use it anymore. Thanks for watching!

They actually reached out to me with the update that I put in the description - (I REALLY wish RU-vid would put the annotation function back for things like this) - You can [control]+click any parameter and it will set it back to zero. I still don't believe there is a way to just flatten the whole EQ with a single click just yet, but the PreSonus team are listening to customers and comments and seem to be making an effort to implement features like this in future updates as they are possible.

DcSoundOp awesome that's great news I've enjoyed there older PreSonus classic models now for about 8 years they've been great and thinking about upgrading to either the new mixer or the stage boxes thanks for the quick reply

Connecting the 16R with a splitter snake will be fine. Recording multitrack on the ipad is not possible. You can use the ipad to control the unit while it records to the SD card (which i believe is only 2-track), but multitrack recording is done over usb to a computer and a computer only.

Justin Quinn just saw an old video from sweetwater about the presonus duo and it has a version that can track up to 32 tracks simultaneously. So it is possible to record multi tracks of more than just two tracks on an ipad.

Yup... it’s a soft mute switch that mutes all inputs and output simultaneously. Good to know if it makes a popping noise when it happens, if there is a delay in the mute from when you press the button... that kind of stuff.

Hi, thanks for the message. I don't love software only control, but for certain applications it really is just fine. The Universal control app is pretty good, but for certain jobs like corporate work or fast paced panel discussions, you really can't beat having hands on the physical faders. What type of work are you thinking of using it for?

DcSoundOp I pulled the trigger and got the 16R this week from Sweetwater. I received it Friday and was up and running in no time. It did take me a little while to figure out the routing to and from my DAW. I started a new song to help me learn the workflow and I don’t mind the onscreen control. I will mainly be using it in the studio and the 16 inputs is more than enough for what I do. The new compressors and EQ you can apply to the inputs sound great. I have a video up on my channel showing my initial walkthrough of setting up the UC.

Have you routed the USB playback to the 16R? This question was asked below previously below too & the guy got it sorted by checking his routing. Be sure you have the correct routing in your computers audio preferences, your DAW or software preferences & in the 16R itself. You've got to tell the audio where you expect it to come out. If this doesn't help or make sense, you may want to reach out to PreSonus directly, they are awesome & will absolutely get you sorted out if you contact them either online or over the phone. The facebook user groups are a great place to ask too, as most folks there have the units on-hand to cross check things and walk you through it.

Yeah, I'm running Windows 10 so I have selected the 16R as my playback device and set it as default. I assume that's what you mean by routing USB playback? When I look at the open volume mixer and play audio on the pc it picks it up but I guess I'm not routing it through the 16R properly. Should I be setting up a stereo channel on the mixer which passes through the audio from the pc? I noticed in one of your vids that you had two options under the "Digtal Audio Routing" menu for the SD card and what looks to be USB. I only have the SD card showing up. How could I correct that? I have contacted Presonus but still waiting for them to get back to me. Thanks for your response, I appreciate it!

Hi Michael, the 16R does work just like a typical interface or sound card if that's what you need. You can read more about the specs here - www.presonus.com/products/StudioLive-16R - but it is an 18x18 interface, meaning you can absolutely use all of the inputs at once. Thanks for the question.
