3d wonderland was probably the best troll on a psychological level

Super Duper Mario 3D Wonderland is like a screenshot you would see in a magazine of an "upcoming game" that got cancelled that you never heard about again, or an early unfinished prototype that somehow leaks online. You just have ideas about what the game is like and imagine playing it, but it's never actually real or finished or realized. I hope the person who made it considers making a full game or at least a fully developed course, the visual design and art style of that little section is out of control.

So happy to hear that Simple's bones are normal and that he's still not missing! Anything can happen in a roll hack.

I would pay that man to build a true Wonderland extreme hack. That looks like the most fun Mario level I’ve ever seen.

the setup of a huge, beautiful level that you can't explore is something i'd expect to see in some arthouse thing trying to be thought-provoking. and if it was, i'd probably scoff at it. but the fact that it's just a big prank makes me more willing to really think about it and the way i reacted to it. anything really can happen in a roll hack...

The twist with the second hack is pretty insane

I want "L to levitate" turned on for the second hack so badly, just to find out if anything is there beyond what you can see from the beginning.

These intros are evolving into a full blown burger conspiracy. If these keep up I might be gaslit into thinking simples bones are abnormal. And that's probably bad.

Super Duper Mario 3D Wonderland Extreme was by far my favorite of the whole comp. I felt such immense excitement from the first second of Simple entering the stage...that troll hit me on a far deeper, intimate way. This was an attack not just on streamer, but on the helpless viewers at home -- nay, the WORLD. Superstupidy betrayed my trust when I wanted and needed it most. Had to vote a 10

SM64 devs didn't make pipes octagonal prisms as a stylistic choice, sometimes you just have to compromise good looks for playability

I really hope Press A to Jump evolves into a full hack. I love that concept, it feels a little like Baba is you, hopefully it can evolve to having different actions assigning to multiple buttons at once. It'd be a really fun puzzle game.

Wonderland reminds me of the ending sequence of Inscrpytion, where it shows you fully modeled features and game modes and you have no hope of playing them. Strikes the same painful niche.

I feel like weve all made a joke about a hack where there is no game like "aw imagine a troll hack that looks actually insane right, like thwy have this super intricate design and a world that looks huge and it looks gorgeous but the game just doesnt let you play it and thats the entire troll" But i dont think any of us expected a hack TO ACTUALLY DO IT AND JUST MAKE A HACK WITH NO HACK IN IT

I appreciate how much time in this video was dedicated to Super Duper Mario 3D Wonderland EXTREME. Really gets across just how amazing of a hack it is, quite possibly my favorite hack of the comp personally

The second hack in this video definitely wins when it comes to raw trolling.

3D Wonderland was definitely the most memorable hack of the competition to me. Really unique concept executed perfectly. Hope it wins!

I made like *one* level in lunarmagic which was just a maze of blocks on top of a block background thinking it would be impossible to tell the difference. Turned out parallax scrolling was a thing. I also tried to fix the weird formatting of Mario World's textboxes. That was more hassle than it was worth, still don't know why Nintendo thought it was a brilliant design decision to have random large gaps between words and literally have it be part of the game's programming.

With intros like this, it's no question that Simple Flips and Team© is my favorite RU-vid Channel !

The thing about Spiderverse is, its Miles who is out of sync the whole movie and when he comes into his own and goes to save the day he moves into the correct framerate. They used the frames per second to further illustrate how Miles it out of sync with the other spidermen.

You know, I’ve watched Simpleflips for a long time at this point, but I can’t put my finger on whether I remember him being a SM64 speedrunner at some point. Even if he never seriously ran the game, he’s up there in terms of sheer mechanic mastery and love of SM64 as a game and beyond that a platform for player-created content.
